You e-mail a model who's entire portfolio consists of photos by one photographer. You offer her a paid shoot that falls into line with what her profile says she is available for. She reads the message and doesn't respond. Sluggo? More than likely.

Wow...guess that's the story on OMP then! LOL!
OMP sends me the stupid "new model in nj" email, so if their local...i see if they want to get some photos up, because they usually have snapshots from their cell phones when they put up....but 90percent of the time, none of them respond back...it's like...this is why you're on here, isn't it? TO get PHotos done!!!
Especially when a new model appears that is in the same friggin' town as i am, you would wonder...wow...this would be very conveinent for the model...didn't have to travel far, etc. etc.
But no...they still don't respond, then I check back like 8 months later, cuz I still have them on my "desire to work with" page, and they havent even touched their link since the time I saw them. LOL! 184 days sine last logged in. LOL! Ok..dont sign up!

Maybe they aren't interested in the job?
I know most ppl don't bother to respond to emails/messages because they aren't interested. I know, I know, they should respond either way but, they don't. Just like most industry professionals. "Don't call us, we'll call you (if we're interested)." Or, like another poster stated, maybe they just plain forgot about the email/message. You never know the true reason why they didn't bother to reply.

As a model, I've opened emails or messages and not responded right away, to either let myself think it over or it was just too late at night to bother. Other times I've opened them and planned to write back but something very serious in my personal life took up my time and I just forgot about modeling cuz well, it wasnt important at that moment.
