You were not reproducing his work, you were providing a link. This is no more a crime than it is to post the address of your local art gallery.

I defy anyone to cite any law that makes it illegal to post a link (URL) to another website. (We will assume that the material on the linked website is not child porn or other illegal content.)

Hopefully no one on this site is that idiotic to actually think a link is somehow considered copyright infringement.  I'm pretty certain the photographer who the OP of that other thread was talking about doesn't even believe what he was saying, just was reaching for something to threaten the OP of the other thread with legally so that he could make his threatening statements carry some weight.
