What is different about French Fashion and US?  French Lingerie and the US?  French photography in general and US?

I'm curious as to what differences can be expected when dealing with that side of the globe.

i'm not much help either, as i don't know the answer.

but when it comes to fashion and banding around labels, french, european style...

i don't get it either...

so any 'text-book' answers or humble opinions would be appreciated!

Most French Girls perfume their undies.
I would say French Photography emulates
what is being done in Milan Italy.
Who did it first ??
Italia of course.

I was recently in France and was wondering the same thing...then I look around and see the street urchin tomboyish look is in, artfully mixed with a fluid shirt and sexy shorts. They just have a sense of style over there. It's very hard to explain.

Thanks!  What about French photographers?  What can you tell me about working with them?

I was solicited by a photographer that "claims" to frequently alternate shooting in Paris and the US.  I'm not 100% certain he is "legit" but. . .it had me thinking about what to expect and ways to establish if he was indeed legit or just some French GWC hounding for smutty pictures.

"most" ... I don't think I would want to check.

Filet mignon, OK, perhaps, ... but the rest of French humanity, ...no, merci.

I also noticed in the evenings, that many women wore capes...something I havent really seen over here. I don't know about the photographers over there...I have a friend who I stay with over there and he takes photos of models, breaks for some wine, shoots more...then he and the model go out for melted chocolates afterwards...and more wine. LOL...thats just him. i dont want to stereotype any french photographers. *smile*

I totally get that there's about a 98% chance he's not legit.  It's the other 2% that has me wondering. . .and even if he ISN'T, I'm still curious about what it would be like to shoot for a photographer from a totally different culture than here.  Hence the thread.

France creates Fashion , America copies

yes you can't know, at least WE have nothing to go on about the guy and his place in that Culture at all
How old is he?
How educated and well travelled?
Is he from the country side?  N S E W  or suburb, city, Paris?
France may not look big from here

;-)

but is is and there are many FRENCH types, even a few real  individuals!!!

Generally they place more import on food and quality i everything than here... the style yes, the standard of something ...
They are ofte educated in art, always taught curly script handwriting ! you might hope for attention to detail and prescision
They are also known as horny beggers...
