Again thanks to everyone who took time to comment, send email, IMs and show me the love, you all really made my day.  I posted on the original thread that her $200 fee would go to a charity and asked everyone to vote.  Well it was so deep down on the thread that only 5 people saw it.  So between now and 7pm CST tomorrow (Friday) you can vote for the charity of your choice.  The charity with the most votes gets the check, no stuffing the ballot box, one per member.  After all this is not the 2000 Presidential election in Florida!

I'll go first, still Habitat for Humanity

Well my current favorite charitable group is the Heifer Organization (www.heifer.org), not that I expect anyone else to vote for it.

Every year I donate $1000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation because I hate seeing kids robbed of life so early on.  Donate there if you wish.

Although someone in the post.. can't remember who and too lazy to look it up.. suggested giving $50 to random acts of kindness.  I thought this was a cool idea.  Someone holds the door for you.  Someone says their please and thank you's.  etc.  Would make 4 people happy for using their heads.. unlike the model in question.

Given the nature of the incident, I think it would be most appropriate to give it to an organization that strives to end racism.

There are so many needs but my heart and soul go with Special Olympics. If you or anyone does not want to give a donation, volunteering is a wonderful way to help these kids out. I PROMISE you, it will be a life changing event for all volunteers.

Damn! I got in on this too late!  Didn't have a chance to try and get votes for the "Buy Hamza a new Lamborghini Fund"....

Oh well, maybe next time.

Besides, the $200 would have barely bought me the key!
