I've been seeing a big gap in models' rates lately. Just wondering what models on MM are charging. Per hour/half day/full day? Kind of shoot(clothe/implied/nude/etc.)? I'm trying to figure out what is fair and what is ridiculous? I may be doing some hiring and want to come up with a reasonable price and have some negotiating room.

I generally do anything from TFP (fashion) to $100/hr (nude).

Well I haven't had many paid shoots (Most of my work has been TFCD), but when I do get an offer my rate is $40/Hour with a min. of 2 hours. The rate is for my time, not how much skin I'm willing to show. smile

I charge $50-$75 an hour depending on:
1. How interested I am in the project.
2. If I have to buy anything for it.
3. If the photos will help my portfolio.
4. If I even get photos.

I also ask to be reimbursed for travel expenses.. Which are never more than $15-$20.

I have gotten paid more/less than that, though, when photographers offer to pay a certain rate instead of asking.  Maybe you should try doing that when you want to hire someone.

I make from 60 to 125 an hour.
Nudes, non nudes, anything I model for.
Sometimes I get paid by the hour, sometimes I get paid by the shoot, sometimes I get a cut of all prints sold.

Each project is different and negotiated on an individual bases.

Wynd had a great suggestion for you when you start sending castings to models put in a price so they can say yes, or the both of you can negotiate something different.

Thanks for the replies. All of the ranges are within what I thought. The reason I asked was I offered a model $100 for a fine art nude shoot and she wanted $250 an hour. $250 is way too much. I'm not going to use her. The hard thing for me is that there isn't a large talent pool in my area.
Thanks again.

put an ad on craigslist in the art section or even in the erotic section and i bet u find someone who will model. of course they may not have any experience but depending on what look you want you may find what you need if there are not many mm models in your area.

check out the art and/or photography classes in local colleges. they use nudes all the time,
and at a decent rate/hr also!

Most of them don't seem to know what to charge...

I just posted this in another thread.

MSN did an article yesterday on jobs.

One is figure model $10/hr - $120 depending on "geographical location and ability".
