Ever photographed model who made your HEART swell?
Forget about the penis - that's a given! Have you ever photographed a model who made your HEART swell???!! Jul 28 06 05:12 am Link yeah, heart swell, wallet shrink. Jul 28 06 05:13 am Link I think I almost always fall in love just a little bit. It's nothing creepy... I do the same thing while watching many movies. I think it's almost a little necessary for me. I don't do well just trying to be technically competent with a subject that I have no interest in. There's got to be a spark of interest, whether it's a model or a tabletop commercial product! In love with all things beautiful (in the eye of the beholder)....models, movies, pieces of music....etc....nothing creepy about that....that is, unless you were shooting the model from the bushes in her front yard at 2 AM while she was sleeping. Jul 28 06 06:43 am Link JAY carreon wrote: Dear God, I haven't thought of that sound in forever! Jul 28 06 06:45 am Link Yes but only my wife - maybe it's me but when I am looking through the viewfinder the shot is reduced to pixels in my eyes & I don't feel the emotion behind the shot until afterwards. Even when framing the shot I am more concerned about lighting, structure and so on than getting too caught up on the model's beauty. But then again maybe I am still shooting in 2 dimensions & haven't got to incorporate the 3rd yet. Jul 28 06 06:55 am Link Only once for me as well. Ions ago and she was actually one of those "not a model but should be" types. A cross between Shania Twain and Helen Chapel from Wings. But she was engaged at the time....we became the best of friends and wouldn't you know it.....they got divorced about 6 months after I moved from Savannah to Miami.....dabnabit. But oh well, ended up meeting my wife who may not be my muse (hates being infront of the camera) but is my backbone and I have my son (future assistant). So it all worked out for the best Jul 28 06 07:06 am Link Does the model's friend at the shoot count? Jul 28 06 07:10 am Link Yes. Many times. If I ever get so jaded that it stops happening, then I'll know it's time to switch either subject or even medium, because I won't have anything left to say. The heart of the matter will be dead. Jul 28 06 07:21 am Link As much as I hate to admit it, yes. I say that as Im VERY happily married and the "feelings" Ive experienced with this model makes me uncomfortable. It doesnt help that shes almost young enough to be my daughter. Its tough, she wants to shoot again and I would like too. But... BTW...my wife knows...we dont hide things from each other.. Jul 28 06 07:25 am Link Bounddreams wrote: Huh....that's a tough one. I am thinking that if my heart ever skipped a beat for another woman, my marriage would probably be over (if you are falling for another, what is the point of being married?)..... if I told my wide this, it would be over...that or my photography career. Jul 28 06 07:53 am Link Just once.. well twice, I worked with her more then once. Jul 28 06 07:58 am Link jonathan ledeux wrote: FKVPhotoGraphics wrote: I think we are in agreement. Jul 28 06 10:41 am Link yep.. one time.. she was in my opinion.. just perfect.. we did a couple of shoots.. and spent a bit of time together.. we clicked on so many levels. Her personality, her humor, her smile her eyes... and we became instant best friends. Spoke online and on the phone for hours. We talked, we ate, we spent alot of time together in a very short period.. and then when a almost passion filled moment happened... she told me she was a woman with a problem.. she was a lesbian.. and two days later.. she had found a girlfriend.. and I never saw her again... Jul 28 06 10:55 am Link Absolutely. One of those very odd, instant things. And of course she knows it. But for a change, doesn't take advantage of the situation. Such a good girl. Jul 28 06 11:12 am Link A heart-on? That can't be good for you. I recommend a cardiologist. Jul 28 06 11:24 am Link Most all the good ones- yes. But Im fickle- a few hours after the shoot- my heart goes back to cold and small, hehe. Jul 28 06 11:25 am Link I get a little infatuated with each one, almost always in the editing phase. I've gotten a little back story by then, and some compliments. all that circles around in my head while I'm looking at the beautiful face looking back at me, from the screen. it always fades after a couple of days, except for this one model. this particular infatuation just ain't going away. sigh. Jul 28 06 11:38 am Link Yeah, I have. And that can be a frustrating thing as an amateur, because you can be completely taken by the lovely person in front of your lens, but be unable to adequately capture her beauty and energy the way you percieve it. It's all at once exciting and extremely demanding. Jul 28 06 11:48 am Link EllaTull wrote: Thank you. Jul 28 06 11:50 am Link Apfel Photography wrote: AAAaaaaaaaaawwwwww - the cutest!!!
