Models... do you care what the photographer looks like? I see lots of MM photographer pages that include a self portrait. I'm just curious if that makes any difference in your decision to work with them or not.

models tell me that they like to know what I look like, so they recognize the person they are
to be meeting and working with! Specially if it is a TFP/etc shoot.

if you are meeting for the first time in a public place...happens a lot in smaller markets...they can find you more easily....and I have been told that my self-portraits show my creativity, too. I have several on my website, as well.

It doesn't really matter over-all, but considering the internet as a catalyst , there is a strange comfort level in putting a face to a personality/profile.Not unlike what has been previously said, there is a sense of familiarity if the models can see a photographers face too. But all in all it is not an issue, to me.

I have mine because I think it's part of a polite introduction. I have my photo on my business web page too. Same reason.

If we have a meeting before a shoot, and it *must* be at some freaking coffee shop, as opposed to in private and business-like, as I prefer - I do hate that low gut moment of, "is it you?"

And yeah, the familiarity helps me see the photographer as just another human, and makes me less nervous about what they'll think of me in person smile

To repeat the others. Doesnt really matter much to me unless to otherwise identify the photographer as a meeting location!

Doesn't matter what they look like (unless they look like they haven't showered in a month).  It is nice to know what they look like though because they know what I look like so why not?

It's always a surprise what they look like after your idea of who they are on the phone...
I don't care what they look like as long as I feel comfortable and safe...

Depends on if you plan on modeling with me or not smile I like the idea of seeing a photographer first, to have some idea of who I'm working with but it's not a necessity at all.

It doesn`t matter what the photographer looks likes as long as he`s not ugly! hehe
no just kidding!
But it just shows that he`s not afraid to show him/her self. But I can not say that I have seen any female photographers post a pic of them selfs..
Am I wrong?

I've heard many models speak about this who actually are that shallow...they're just not posting on this thread.  wink

For the record, I couldn't care less.  If you take beautiful pictures, you're a winner as far as I'm concerned.

I always require a meet and greet kind of thing before i even pose for a photographer. but seeing their photo on their online album isn't *that* important, but it helps.

Oh, come on!  Of course it matters.  You know if that if a model is planning to do an interview for say a glamour shot, and the photographer looks like a construccion worker who just go off his shift, she would probably be a no-show on the day of the shoot.  And if the guy happens to be the handsomest photographer, I guarantee he has no no-show problems, unless the girl is intimidated by his good looks.  Granted there are women who are more open-minded than others, but women are women.

Well I think when you first start an dmeet photographers...maybe you waited for the photographer you usually see in movies with a jacket with flowers on it.
I think the more you work you realize that the result of work has nothing to do wiht a photographer being slim and smoking ,taking a slice of pizza, fat,no hair or being a pretty pretty green eyed girl!
yeah the picture in my avatar was taken by her OMG I enjoyed that shoot!!. I mean except in a  case where the photographer really catch your eye..it doesnt matter  really, its a job and it smore the personality and vibe between model and photographer not the looks
