A new friend wrote a poem to one of my photographs.  I thought I would share...

https://fashionfreakers.com/bigdock.jpg

Seemingly
I walk on it, above water like
that man everyone talks about

Into the distance, over reflections
that get disturbed with every
step
I
take

Mirror perfect, until
My foot moves
Plank for plank,
I make it to the end

I lean over the edge
Past the wood
past my feet
Over the water, and look down

The dock that has no end
Much like
Me

It's great when an image can inspire someone to write as well....
As a poet I love that fact. smile

Thank you. I love to write poetry and was so happy I could combine the two talents together. I hope to do more like this in the future.

I think Poetry can compliment a piece - help the audience see something inside of the picture that they would have otherwise overlooked, and I often write Poetry to go with pieces of my Artwork. And I think your piece compliments the photo amazingly.
But I also think that sometimes It can distract from the piece, kind of making it seem a little trivial in comparison?
I don't know...

lovely image...inspired a quick
''ad lib'' song  - probably rock, with screaming, and guitars

v1

"You took me
EMPTY
you R the One
- took me far away
out to a desert
flooded with tears

if you are the landing
i wait for you here

v2

did heaven see us
we saw a dream?
took us far away
secret delightful...
EMPTY
remote and distant
nothing to say

CHORUS

nothing to say
want to run, run away
nothing to say?

middle 8

why so silent
you know it all
running on empty,
leading to my fall
lake of my tears
wide as the sky
tell us why?
wide as the sky

v3

you left me
EMPTY
you were the One
- dissapreared
passed the ripples
lines of dellusion

I am still hoping
i watch for you
yeah

CHORUS

nothing to say
want to run, run away
nothing to say"

MORE AD LIBS...

Another poem by Becky

https://www.fashionfreakers.com/clouds.jpg

Bleak and Dreary
My soul grows weary
As the clouds overpower
the powder blue sky

Sun rays once blinding
Now tactfully hiding
Out of sight from my eyes

Darkness floods my surroundings
A familiar feeling creeps up on me
creating chills
chain reactive
from my neck
to my toes

I can feel it in the air

It is about to pour
I close my eyes to heighten my senses

The smell of the rain

The way the wind plays on my finger tips

The sweet moistness of the air teasing my lips

As I listen closely....
I can hear
the calm
before
the storm

The light spring breeze
caresses the trees
bringing about that oh so familiar scent
of sweetness-
new blossoms, a tell tale sign the cold will stay at bay
For a few months anyway

The speing breeze is musical
a rhythm playing so sweetly
as it blows through the new blossoms
across the field
in my hair
and over my smile....

Eyes closed, the sun still warms my eyelids
letting me know it's there.

I am glad.

Going out on a limb
never felt this good
