I've got a question concerning the bunny suite thing. For some reason they keep coming up in the Goth community. Why is that? Are Goths really fascinated by bunnies? I know Lenore (in the Roman Dirge comic) wore a bunny suite, and Rob Zombie had his characters in "House of 1000 corpses" wearing them... I just don't get the connection. And none of the Goths I've ever asked know anything about them either. And really -- bunnies just aren't the furry-fetish I'd expect Goths to be into. Bats, maybe. Bunnies, no way.

She was just here a few weeks ago and I just missed her.  She was at a small dance show my daughter was in.  I found out later from the girl who produced the show.

Well, I'm not exactly goth (I can't put on eyeliner and I'm blond), but I'll take a stab at the bunny suits in "House of 1000 Corpses". 

For me, the bunny suits were another psychological weapon used by the family.  When do average people wear bunny suits?  When they're really little kids, either as pajamas or as very early Halloween costumes.  Either way, the bunny suit gets associated with being in the dark, where all the monsters hide.  Well, now these little bunnies are all grown up, but Mommy and Daddy aren't going to come and save them, and in the case of the movie, there really are monsters waiting in the dark.  I'm sure Rob Zombie is also referencing some early movie, but the transportation to that terror of childhood is what it all means to me.

I'm not a furry either, so I don't know why bunny suits become fetish.  But somebody says soft, I think cottontails!
