If you would recommend any one (1) photographer (other than yourself if you are a photog)  to everyone here at MM who would it be? Why?

(Please don't tell me that it depends on the type of shoot, Just give me your favorite)

Julia Gerace (Shelton, CT.) MM#20812 - Knows what professional means, does excellent work, has a great work ethic and very modest about herself.

Check out her work.

Who do you like?

Michael Rosen - MM1941.  There was just a thread on great ports.  Check it out.

This is not just about great ports. This is about the whole photographer (talent, professionalism, etc). Some have great ports but are assholes. Others have good ports and are fantastic to work with. Or they actually add value to this weird part of the industry.

This guy's a fershlugginer genius:

I don't know anything about him other than what's on his site, but if he doesn't have a Taschen book deal in the works, he should. Man, I could look at his stuff all day.

I'd recommend myself.
But that's against the rules.
And I'm a total asshole...
So I guess I'm out.
Damn.
I'd recommend Elizabeth Raab.  #536.
Cause she's better than me.

Or.
Viva Van Story, #179.
Or KoolGirlieStuff, #118.
I don't know either...
But their shit is cool, and I imagine they'd be fun to work with.
But if the rules were different...
Me.

OK ... I'd have to say Hugh Jorgen #652 because he likes to stand on furniture to get a good shot, just like me!

Also he must be a blast to shoot with because he doesn't do it for the money!  (also like me!)

Hugh, could it be that I am your long lost younger brother?

LOL

I aspire to work with her one day.  I have met and worked with someone who interned with her, and he said she was very cool to work with.

Jeez ... tough to choose.

Okay: its between Len Kaltman, Rich Drinkard, and Clifford Licko.

have to choose clicko(MM#1499, vegas), because I've emailed more with him and sent models to him and had those models give me great reports from shooting with him.  nice guy, good photographer.

Hey Mark -

Thanks  : )  even though I messed you up the other day? (I'm soooo sorry!!!)

Ok. - I'll return it and say that I would recommend Mark too - especially because we're in the same location and he's a good photog and a good person.... If I got to go outside of the area, it would be Jeremy Sparling from Illinois -  great guy, interesting work..

I would have to say Neil "Frizzycube" Nakahara of Frizzycube Photography
MM# 99

Why?
I love his work! lol
He has a wonderful style which I haven't seen before, light and color are his playthings, and a lot of his new images are very surrealistic in his own unique way.

Aside from that, he's always up to throw some words back and forth.
