When it comes to day rates there is no easy answer. I have found with makeup artists and hair stylists the day rate runs on average from $400-600 per day. Clothing stylists can be a bit more since they have to spend more time buying and returning clothes on the day before and after the shoot. Models rates can run as low at $150 a day for an editorial to tens of thousands for major commercial clients. With models, just as with photographers how the image is used will dictate the day rate.

Day rates will also vary with the market you are in and the experience of the talent you are working with. In this business you usually get what you pay for. If you are cheap or on a low budget the quality will suffer, if you have the budget for a top quality team then the results will definitely show it. Hope this helps!
