I looked at your images and I would shoot with you any day.  I don't see a problem with your figure at all.

It's not. You just have to find photographers who have a genuine attraction to women with these types of figures, as opposed to ones just looking to diversify their portfolio or doing it because they think it's the trendy thing to shoot (in the urban market).

Totally agree on this one. A photographer who finds curves more attractive will know how to (or at least attempt to) photograph a curvy girl in a way that suits her. If a photographer tries to hide the curves then he will fall flat on his face in the attempt.

No No No... don't even feed into that!  Glamour Models are taking over!  JUST being beer girls are days of the past.  There are SOOOOOO many more opportunities now than ever!  If I were in Arizona, I'd hunt down Bruce Talbot... I'm sure he's still up.

GOOD SUGGESTION...Bruce Talbot would be an excellent choice...does GREAT work!

Curvy girls? My favorite kind, I like shooting women who look like women, or at least ones who look like they didn't get forgotten by the Puberty Fairy. (Is there such a thing?) I wrote an article on how to shoot plus-sized models for a company I shoot for, but you're not "plus" so much as you are "stacked." So I don't think it would help you much.

That said, whatever problem photographers are having shooting with you-- the problem is not you. Find someone who appreciates your look and won't get all flustered when they notice you have a chest.

Here are some folks (besides The Bruce) in AZ that I found who have the curvy glam thing going on:

If you ever decide to do figure work, Chris Henry is pretty magnificent:

I'm sure there are more, I just did a quickie search, but hopefully it'll help some.  smile

I know there's a lot of women out there that call themselves 'curvy', when they should really be using another adjective....

You, my dear, do NOT fit that description at all.... and I agree with Doug... I'd have no problem shooting YOUR curves at all!  If you check my page, hopefully you'll agree.... ever venture a little further west?!?  : D

This is the exact reason I gave up on a modelling career. hehe

I am 130lbs, small chested, with TEENY ribs and huge hips.
But I photograph like I'm 200lbs. hahaha

Actually, its kinda scary.

Photographed all types of men/women and haven't noticed any difference with thin & narrow vs. curvy. It's just the photographer and the way the model works that's different. I've had two wonderfully curvy models that have worked with me for many years. One does Maidenform and Playtex lots and we've done some great collaborations.

Seriously.

There are a good number of photographers who shoot women and men of all sizes.

First you need to define what you want though.  Glamour?  For lack of a better word, "fine art?" Headshots, portraits, etc.

Then seek out photographers who are capable of capturing the type of images you seek.  Good photographers, though possibly fascinated with your chest, will be able to bring more to the table than just cleavage shots.

Now I'm starting to think that I need to romance a photog before we take some pix- just so he knows what I'm going for! No, but I'm starting to see that everyone has a different style...

PS- if Vida Guerra, J-Lo and Beyonce can do it...

PPS- NO, IF ASHLEY SIMPSON CAN GET A RECORD DEAL AND BE ON MAGAZINE COVERS, I SEE NO REASON WHY THE REST OF THE WORLD CAN'T!!!
