Why is it so hard to shoot CURVY girls?
Ahzure wrote: I looked at your images and I would shoot with you any day. I don't see a problem with your figure at all. Jun 29 06 09:45 am Link Scaramanga wrote: Totally agree on this one. A photographer who finds curves more attractive will know how to (or at least attempt to) photograph a curvy girl in a way that suits her. If a photographer tries to hide the curves then he will fall flat on his face in the attempt. My favorite kind, I like shooting women who look like women, or at least ones who look like they didn't get forgotten by the Puberty Fairy. (Is there such a thing?) I wrote an article on how to shoot plus-sized models for a company I shoot for, but you're not "plus" so much as you are "stacked." So I don't think it would help you much. That said, whatever problem photographers are having shooting with you-- the problem is not you. Find someone who appreciates your look and won't get all flustered when they notice you have a chest. Jun 29 06 10:22 am Link Here are some folks (besides The Bruce) in AZ that I found who have the curvy glam thing going on: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=139307 https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=138913 https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=89641 https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=11470 https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=11470 If you ever decide to do figure work, Chris Henry is pretty magnificent: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=42467 I'm sure there are more, I just did a quickie search, but hopefully it'll help some. ![]() Jun 29 06 10:50 am Link Sita Mae Edwards wrote: THANK YOU soooo much! Jun 30 06 02:18 am Link This is the exact reason I gave up on a modelling career. hehe I am 130lbs, small chested, with TEENY ribs and huge hips. But I photograph like I'm 200lbs. hahaha Actually, its kinda scary. Jun 30 06 02:28 am Link Photographed all types of men/women and haven't noticed any difference with thin & narrow vs. curvy. It's just the photographer and the way the model works that's different. I've had two wonderfully curvy models that have worked with me for many years. One does Maidenform and Playtex lots and we've done some great collaborations. Jun 30 06 02:37 am Link dissolvegirl wrote: Seriously. Jun 30 06 02:46 am Link Now I'm starting to think that I need to romance a photog before we take some pix- just so he knows what I'm going for! No, but I'm starting to see that everyone has a different style... PS- if Vida Guerra, J-Lo and Beyonce can do it... PPS- NO, IF ASHLEY SIMPSON CAN GET A RECORD DEAL AND BE ON MAGAZINE COVERS, I SEE NO REASON WHY THE REST OF THE WORLD CAN'T!!! Jun 30 06 02:47 am Link |
