UPC Entertainment a scam?
Has anyone else heard of the UPC Entertainment Group? I just got contacted by them and I don't know but It smells like a scam to me... http://www.galaxycompetition.com/Talent … t_Home.htm Let me know if you've ever worked for them or heard of them before. Jun 27 06 07:49 pm Link I think this website explains it all: http://www.gsnyderproductions.com/casting.htm For those people that don't want to click the link: To be featured on the cover of the "Freestyle" (non existing?) book, you must purchase 40 copies at a cost of $1060.00 . You will be able to resell the books at a profit. Yeah, right. Judging by the grammatic and spelling errors on the website, I doubt the book would ever be anything resembling an actual publication... but hey, that's just my humble opinion. I love a good scam as much as the next guy but there's nothing worse than a cheap scam, or one that's been done a million times before. Jun 28 06 12:51 pm Link I don't trust anything from Nevada ![]() Jun 28 06 12:54 pm Link Have you ever noticed that you don't have to read anything in the actual post in these threads about scams. It is just is such and such a scam. YES the end Star Jun 28 06 12:57 pm Link Just to add: There are no business licenses or other pertinent background information about the company in State or Local records. The address stated on the UPC website is actually a rented mailbox in a UPS store. Now, as for MAIL FRAUD: The UPC address is a rented mailbox. The term "suite" is used on many of his webpages to make it appear that this is anything but a rented mailbox. As the result of a FEDERAL LAW designed to eliminate MAIL FRAUD, a PRIVATE MAILBOX must be designated with either the '#' symbol or the abbreviation "PMB" in front of the box number. ANY OTHER TERM VIOLATES THE LAW! You can see it for yourself at the following links: http://web.archive.org/web/200503170013 … a_main.htm http://web.archive.org/web/200503170013 … pub146.pdf -acrobat document about mail fraud http://web.archive.org/web/200503170013 … ysquad.pdf -an easy to read guide from the Los Angeles Police Department pertaining to the PMB disclosure regulations. Based on the information at hand (or lack thereof), I would tend to say that UPC Talent (or any of it's 'divisions') are pretty much a fake company.
