LOL @ Mr. Seen... wouldn't "Things" be (one of) your middle name(s)? I believe "The" would legally be his first name unless it's some sort of fancy shmancy title like 'President' or 'Doctor.'

In most cases, I understand what you're giggling about. For some, though, Hooters can help a model's career tremendously.  I've worked with Jessica Nichole (MM # 109108) a couple of times and she blows away most every other model I know.  She does her own hair, makeup and styling and is very intelligent. She has done well by Hooters, actually. She was Miss Hooters IL 2003, was in a commercial for the company, was on Pay-per-view and VH1, in their calendar, magazine, their videos and did promo work for them besides that. (She has done even more work outside of Hooters.)

Laugh all ya want about having that on a resume, but she's gotten more practical experience and accomplished more offline than many girls on this site. Anything but typical T&A, too.  She's polite, intelligent, well-spoken and a natural beauty. A very funny and totally cool girl, too.

I was thinking The = Mr. at least. certainly not Doctor or President. I could be president though. The bar is so low I could step over it. That is a different story.

I'm just excited that this is the first thread I started that generated enough debate to make it to the second page. That is thrilling.

But was her success a direct result of working at Hooters? Sure she was Miss Hooters IL 2003 and in a commercial and VH-1 but wasn't that because of who she was and not what Hooters made her into?

Hey Travis... did you know that Hooter's girls CAN NOT be seen in their uniforms ANY WHERE outside of Hooters resturant or a Hooter's function?  She could be fired, fined, and sued.  I think the penalty for being photographed is like $10-15,000... for wearing your chicken uniform in a picture.

In this case, the she was working. This was shot at a Hooters Pro Cup race that was at our local track a few years ago.

Thanks Christopher..have my son looking like a perv before he can even walk..teehee!! Hey maybe it will look good on HIS resume to say he wears a hooters shirt..wink

Well they say socialization starts at a young age.

Actually the one I saw was unisex with "My First Hooters Shirt" I believe on it. I can't be sure since I was on my 11th Chicken Wing and my 4th beer....

(In all seriousness congrats on the little one ;-))

Guess I should make a serious comment here for a change...

Hooters tries to enforce it's "great place-hot chicks" image and sometimes they are successful. Often depending on where you go its pretty bad. By putting "Hooters Girl" on a resume is some kind of strange validation that some manager at one of their locations thought they were attractive enough to work there (don't forget there's been a few lawsuits over that).

Also the "good" waitstaff have the inherent ability to make small talk with with  groups of old guys who will swear to their buddies later that "Dude she was digging me." (Yes I know families go to Hooters for the food, but this happens more often)

So with all that you have someone saying that their attractiveness has been verified and they have public relations skills amidst leering eyes and belching. I guess its almost like putting "Spokesmodel" down on a resume without the chicken.

The reality is when you have high turnover and have to pull from the local gene pool to cover shifts, the "attractiveness" quotient goes out the window and those "mad PR  skillz" are limited to "Thanks, Hun" as she plops down a beer and scurries back to her boyfriend sitting in the corner with his buds.

In the end however Hooters may give a select few some exposure on the national stage, but I suspect the models who do (and were referenced in some of the past comments here) had *IT*all along.

Does Hooters teach women about modelling? Probably as much as Juggs (the porn mag) teaches about photography....

Thanks ever so kindly. I am really excited and all those millions of emotions one gets when they are having their first child. Good stuff

Uh-oh. I highly doubt that place really counts as a "family" restaurant...

True, Hooters did not teach her about modeling or "make her", but they certainly have afforded her many opportunities and quite a bit of national visibility. She is indeed one of the select few. I'm guessing the original post was in reference to those who are only on staff at restaurants and who don't go further than that. In her case, having it in her bio is justified.
