Or is it GCW? I can't remember, but I see it littered in the forums left and right. I gather that it's some kind of amature calling him or herself a photographer, but looking more for dates or soft-core porn... but I could be way off. What's it actually stand for?

Git-it While you Can!  JK.

GWC stands for Guy With Camera.  It's a derogatory term, implying the guy just wants to take pictures of hot-looking babes, preferably with their clothes off.  That's as opposed to us serious photographer types who want to take pictures of hot-looking babes, preferably with their clothes off, for purely artistic reasons.  smile

The GWC acronym describes a person that owns a camera, but the main objective is not to create photos, which would warrant the term "photographer".

The GWC's ("Guy With Camera") sole objective is to get laid, to get dates or at least to see boobies, by using his camera.

Please make a note of that difference!

The distinction between most professional photographers and many amateur photographers is not the quality of their work, but the source of income... both should be expected to conduct their photoshoots in a "professional" manner.

Hi Keeper. GWC stands for "guy with camera." Your not too far off on your assumption that its amertures calling themselves photographers (or even professional photographers). For the most part, GWC is a pretty negative and insulting term because the general populace views these individuals as some clown that picked up a camera so that he can pick up on women. Its a term most of us try to avoid, especially if your new like I am.

Ok since, I haven't looked at your port yet:

The guy who took your photos.

*this might not be true as you might have wonderful photos, that was just some mean thought that popped into my head and for some reason I was feeling feisty.
