This is the wrong place to ask -- rates vary greatly from location to location, and not all models have the same appeal.

The best thing to do is to network with your local models & artists -- compare notes.

I typically charge amateurs a lower rate, because I like to encourage them to experiment, and they tend to be more open to ideas that would benefit my projects as well.

Many photographers are very understanding of someone just starting out and will offer substantially-discounted rates. Should you work with them, and then have success, please do not forget their generousity.
