Is it true that the main headshot that is used on a comp card/portfolio has to be of one you looking straight into the camera. Just curious b/c the one I was gonna use (which is in my port entitled:"Smile! You're on Camera") is the strongest, commercial headshot I have but I'm lookin to the side.

Does that mean it can't be used?

Well, you're right, that one is your strongest head shot.
But, it doesn't really engage the viewer, which you typically want.

Clients want a head front shot for a number of reasons...one of which has already been posted....hiding a flaw.....but also how you smile....how your eyes look in print....eveness of your features....overall skin tones....blemishes.....many different things......
