I want to respond "Get lost, freeloader."
A nobody with 4,000 friends drops me a friend request. I've never heard of or from this clown before. All of MM has been there, I know. Howzabout we agree on a "Get lost" formatted response? Jun 15 06 12:33 am Link ahh so you got my friend request ,lol. Jun 15 06 12:35 am Link It's called the delete button...but maybe he just felt sorry for you and wanted to share his welth of friends...LOL! Mike Jun 15 06 12:41 am Link Mike Walker wrote: DOH! I forgot about the milk of human kindness -- sharing. Thanks for the reminder. Jun 15 06 12:49 am Link You know what. I accept just about everyone who sends me a request. The more links there are to my portfolio, the more people who will have heard of me. Popularity is just the one of the first steps to being world-renowned. Jun 15 06 01:07 am Link Israel wrote: Probably not, but it helps your search engine rankings. And it doesnt hurt. Jun 15 06 01:09 am Link OK, so while I was whining about it to y'all, I GOT ANOTHER ONE. I love the internet. Anybody need any RZ67 stuff before it goes to eBay? Jun 15 06 01:23 am Link John Jebbia wrote: Does it? Really? (Not a wise-ass question, serious query.) Jun 15 06 01:25 am Link Mike Walker wrote: Delete, indeed. Does the requester get any indication the recipient hit the delete link? I've wondered about that. I mean, I may not be terribly interested in becoming another notch on a 4,000-friend pistol grip... but on the other hand, I'm disinclined to add myself to an enemies list. Jun 15 06 01:39 am Link ahhhhhhhhha!! is this why ya havent sent me one yet???? Jun 15 06 01:40 am Link Sita Mae Edwards wrote: Hey, you. Did you move to L.A. yet? If not, can I watch you shoot sometime? Jun 15 06 01:43 am Link Anjel Britt wrote: aaarrrrggghhhh. It's late in the evening, my wife is in Milwaukee at an art glass convention, and suddenly your book is thrust in front of me. Jun 15 06 01:48 am Link Len Cook Photographer wrote: Hey yourself! I'm moving on Sunday, so my shooting in Northern California is at an end. (Well, except for my little sister's high school graduation, but I don't think that counts.) Jun 15 06 07:38 am Link Ah the fuckEng egos. be glad someone likes your work. You think you are Ansel Adams! This might be the only place you get noticed. S T F U ! Jun 15 06 08:49 am Link i just delete them. Jun 15 06 08:50 am Link I try an accept everyone, I probably have only sent out about 20-30 of the friends requests that are on my port, Star Jun 15 06 09:01 am Link I'll admit to being a nobody, but if you get a friend request from me its because I either like your work or want to work with you or both. Jun 15 06 09:08 am Link Friend requests on MM. Off all the things to take seriously, this should not be on the top of anyone's list. If you want to give the appearance of exclusivity, every time you get a request, roll a die, if you get a 3, then add them, otherwise, they are cut off without a word!!!! Leaving comments or tags or launching some sort of exchange of personality or craft takes a modicum of effort. And then if there's some meeting of the minds, certainly the Friend link follows. Jun 15 06 12:33 pm Link Sindy Vidal wrote: i agree somewhat....but then again, how hard is it to leave a comment or tag that you like the work? ive made it a point on my profile that i only accept friend requests to those who comment/critique as this is how i learn....
