Hey, look, lots of people go on the front page and ask for comments.  Positive feedback is part of this site.  Please delete your post calling me a wh$re.   I did not do anything to desearve that kind of verbal abuse.

All publicity is good publicity..even this ! How high have the views gone on the photo since this thread appeared ? Maybe you two planned this ???  Guerilla Marketing perhaps ?  Good work !.  LOL!

I heard I can get some cookies here.

Do I have to read the banter to get them?

Now you're just being demanding. I'll throw some chocolate syrup in it.

I don't think I can live another minute without someone coming by and gushing over my photos (positive comments only please). And I give out red wind and dark chocolate!

Ladies…?

Oh heck!  We all appreciate comments and tags on our portfolio pages.  It's how we know we are getting noticed by those we want to work with.

Having said that, I'm up for some comments & tags............. :-)

The great comment compition. " Look at how many comments I got on my port."
But it is about the work. If you are hooking up with work then what is the big deal about comments. On the other hand if MM is what you do, then your life revolves arround your praise and comments.
To me MM is about work. And it is not the pic or the pose it about the person.

I think its really pathetic when you have all these people begging for comments on the main page in the little announcement thingy.

This is simply a failure of the imagination -- your problem, not everyone else's.  But you are clearly not alone.

Comments are the lingua franca of MM.  They are a system of exchange through which people introduce themselves to another.

Some of those introductions will result in deeper connections.  Most won't.  Of course out of 10 "comments" if even one results in a connection, the other 9 failures are easily forgotten.

Think of comments as business cards with URL's on them, and the words as a kind of "nice to meet you."

There is a whole forum available for critiques.  Those who want them can go to the forum and ask.  Responses can be public or private.

This "comment" confusion -- and apparent anger -- looks to me like people who don't know how to network.  Just think of them as biz cards (for those who know what business cards are) and lighten up.
