Hello Lucien,

Thank you for submitting your image for consideration as an online department store model for the WORLDWIDE Shopping Network. You have been selected and would be a major asset to our network. Please read contract thoroughly and let me know either way.

Dawn

Professional Fashion Catalog Model Agreement

Whereas both parties agree to the Terms and Conditions below, therefore, this Agreement is to be considered legal and binding by both parties.
Terms and Conditions

This agreement shall be considered NON-EXCLUSIVE which means that model may model for other companies without obligation to Worldwide.

This agreement’s main mission is to help market and promote model’s professional career with the highest ethical, moral and professional standards to help model gain valuable EXPERIENCE, EXPOSURE, PRINT CREDITS, EARNINGS, PORTFOLIO directly by modeling for Worldwide plus promotion to secure jobs with other companies.

Worldwide is not a model agency, but rather a Shopping Network with affiliations with over 2,000 Top Stores and Fashion Lines. Worldwide collects NO PERCENTAGES if model secures outside modeling gigs as a direct result of Worldwide’s publishing, marketing and promotion.

Worldwide will send a Professional Photographer to model’s hometown area to schedule a PROFESSIONAL FASHION CATALOG SHOOT at no charge to model. Worldwide will postal mail model (12) fashions to wear and model at the shoot. Model gets to KEEP ALL 12 FASHIONS. ($300 Retail Value.) Please allow 1-3 weeks for fashions to arrive and photographer to call you to schedule shoot at a time and location convenient to you.
Photographer will provide model with the (12) best digital shots, one of each fashion. It is the model’s responsibility to send one image per month to Worldwide for publishing and sale to the public of the fashion modeled by E-mail to: [email protected] Model may view our Fashion Catalog at: http://www.foractivewear.com/cf/catalog … =Worldwide

Upon receipt of the image each 30 days, Worldwide will send model a Full Color Copy (Tear Sheet) of each Catalog Ad for the model’s PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO at no charge to model. ($440.00 Retail Value.) Also, along with Full Color Copy of Catalog Ad, model will receive a CHECK for 50% of the profit earned from sale of fashions from model’s Catalog Ads plus a MONTHLY GROSS REVENUE SHARE. (Monthly Gross Revenue Share Check is determined by taking 50% of Worldwide’s total fashion sales and dividing that amount with all signed models. This amount can be a few dollars to hundreds of dollars.)

Worldwide shall also provide model an opportunity to model to help promote Worldwide’s Affiliate Internet Stores such as: Apparel & Accessories,
Art & Hobbies, Auctions/Classifieds, Automotive, Beauty, Books/Magazines, Business & Office, Careers & Employment, Collectibles & Memorabilia, Computer & Electronics, Education, Family, Financial services, Food & Drink, Games & Toys, Gifts, Flowers & Cards, Health & Wellness, Home & Garden, Legal & Insurance, Movies & Videos, Music, Pets, Real Estate, Recreation & Leisure. This is an awesome opportunity for model to submit pictures they already have to fit the "theme" of the above stores, or to use their own digital camera to send photos to promote the stores above. This gives the model an opportunity to be published WEEKLY and receive an E-mailed link to the Catalog Ad for printing for Portfolio. Once again, model receives 50% of the profit from all sales coming from Catalog Ads. These stores can be seen at our On-Line iMall at: http://www.worldwideheadquarters.net.

Because Worldwide owns and operates an International Shopping Network, Worldwide has access to close-outs, wholesale pricing and special services. Thus, Worldwide is thrilled to give our models a $1,000 Company Benefit Package Shopping Spree which includes: Travel and Vacation Perks, Group Discounted Health Benefits and Free Gifts from our Jewelry, Cosmetics, Sporting Goods, Electronics, etc. Free Gifts Model Store. (Small processing fee may be required for free products and services.)

Worldwide also has access to over 2,000 Publishers of Calendar, Books, Greeting Cards, Record Album Covers, Magazines and more in which they have requested images sent for financial consideration. In this respect, if models have images they might want marketed, Worldwide will act as the model’s Stock Photo Agent collecting a fee of 15%. No picture can be published by publishers except by direct written model release by model.

Worldwide will also design and produce a high quality full-color glossy COMPOSITE CARD with model’s three images and stats plus our network’s PROFESSIONAL REFERENCE and mail out in model’s behalf to a Top Modeling Agency for representation at no charge.

Model has also been selected as a National Spokesmodel for Worldwide. Model shall earn a potential $100,000 per year as a National Spokesmodel. Model simply allows Worldwide to post our "Now Hiring Models Of All Ages" Advertisement on all model’s catalog ads. Model shall earn $50.00 for each model that is signed from this method. Model shall also be provided with recruiting instructions if they would like to work about one hour per day placing ads on the internet to recruit models. Model guarantees to provide Worldwide with a positive testimonial for this purpose and represent Worldwide in the best limelight at all times. Worldwide secures its best models from word of mouth advertising.

Worldwide charges NO FEES for all of the above fantastic modeling gig guarantees. However, Worldwide does require a GUARANTEED PAID BACK SECURITY DEPOSIT of $289.00. The purpose of this Security Deposit is to protect our Network from models not submitting the photos each month for 12 consecutive months, or stealing the clothes and not modeling. Models who do not send the images each month will forfeit this security deposit. The Security Deposit is paid back through the above Monthly Gross Revenue Share plan. The Security Deposit also helps eliminate models who do not appreciate the thousands of dollars of costs and labor Worldwide must provide to make this modeling agreement’s guarantees take place. We know that some models refuse to pay anything, even if the money is guaranteed given back and that is fine. However, models who can not understand that we have valuable assets to protect, and because we have lost over $40,000 by models breaching their contracts, we truly only want models who need valuable Experience on their Resume’, Print Credits, Portfolio, Composite Cards and Guaranteed Earnings throughout the year. We always select a few more models then needed, knowing that some models will self-eliminate themselves. This Modeling Agreement could not be more generous and positive for a model’s career.

You have (3) Days from the time you receive this Agreement to contact your Model Recruiter by E-mail to inform of signing or not.
You may Pay your Security Deposit by going to our website: http://www.worldwideheadquarters.net and clicking on the Security Deposit Button on the upper left of screen. You can use any Major Credit Card or Visa/Master Card ATM Debit Card. You may also pay by USPS MONEY ORDER payable to Worldwide and postal mailed to: Worldwide RR2 420-A, Sunbury, Pa. 17801 our East Coast Processing Department. You may also pay by FAX by sending your Signed Contract with Credit Card Info to: 570-227-0090. MODEL MUST FAX ENTIRE AGREEMENT TO: 570-227-0090 TO ENACT!

If you are not in a position to pay the Security Deposit in full, you may pay a $50.00 First Payment to reserve your position and then make payments of your choice until the Security is paid in full. In this fashion, you will not lose your position and the position is reserved. There are no refunds except through the Monthly Gross Revenue Share Plan above. Changing mind is not an option without forfeiting any payment made. Once paying any payment, model is guaranteeing to model the 12 fashions for our Network.

The W.I.S.H. Shopping Network is especially brazen; they collect $289 and deliver, in most cases, absolutely nothing. More precisely, they mail you a cheap item of clothing, you have your picture taken wearing it, you send the picture to W.I.S.H., and then you sit back and wait-- until it dawns on you that the whole thing's a scam.

The BBB is NOT a reliable source to find out if a business is licensed or legally operating.  The BBB is NOT a government or law enforcement agency.  The BBB is simply a club consisting of businessmen who's ORIGINAL INTENT was to provide information about fair and legal business practices.

The BBB was formed at a time that few laws regarding fair trade existed.  Since the BBB formation, a slew of laws were enacted, and gov't agencies such as the Fair Trade Commission were created to handle such illegal business practices.

Each BBB office is individually operated, and each are operated in a different manner.  The BBB normally will not display negative information about businesses that are members of the BBB, nor will they display information about a 'fake' business (ie: businesses that are not licensed or illegally operating).

If a complaint against a company is received by the BBB, the BBB often will either delay or totally disregard displaying information about the company IF the company simply does something like change their address OR phone number, or if the company simply states that they are 'trying' to come up with a reasonable solution to the problem.

MANY fraudulent businesses and scammers BECOME MEMBERS of the BBB in order to appear that they are honest and legitimate businesses.  The WISH Network is actually one of those companies that is listed as a member of one BBB branch... yet other BBB branches display negative information about the WISH network, deeming them to be unreliable.

The only way to obtain proper licensing information is to contact the individual state and county governments regarding a company.  Typically, the Secretary of State's office will have information regarding corporate status. The Department of Consumer Affairs or State Attorney General usually will have information regarding complaints about a particular company.  The county recorder will have licensing information on hand as well.

Don't trust the BBB for accurate information.  It is impossible for them to obtain it, and there are no laws allowing the BBB to obtain such records.

DO NOT TRUST THE BBB!!!

if ANY agency thinks you have what it takes to be a model and they can get you work, they will pay all expenses....and you will pay it back from the $$ in jobs they get you

I like the way it runs on and on without costs being mentioned until the bitter end.

It's all about the $289.00.

Reminds me of a Nigerian 419 scam that promises vast amounts of value in exchange for a little, with elements of work-at-home and mystery shopper scams thrown in as well.

Their web site is crappy and generic. Given the potential value of the URL, I'd say it's little more than a parked page trying for some scam income on the side.

Ah haaaaa... so lets see know... the BBB promises any PAID member of a specific branch to support their business locally, while other branches of the BBB nationwide are free to post negative information concerning that same business?... Hmmmmmm... doesn't that make the BBB a scam also?... sure looks that way to me... wink

EXACTLY!!!
I (and many other people) consider the BBB to be running a scam that's based on Extortion!  They don't actually come out and say it, but their method is "Pay us and we won't report any negative information about your company".

www.ripoffreport.com has alot of excellent information regarding the truth behind BBB operations.

They are a scam. They're constantly posting on craigslist, always changing their name a little each time, but it's all the same thing and it's a scam. This is a link to complaints against WISH, or Worldwide, or whatever they want to call themselves now.

wrong, wrong , wrong..

you have no idea what your talking about so please dont offer any advice...the pros spend more time undoing misinformation diseminated by folks that "want to help"...

lots of reputable agencies want you to cover your promotion materials. (upfront costs)

casablanca and powers are schools..you pay them to instruct you, not get you work..not good values , but certainly not scams..

90% of the models online are in small local markets, the agencies will sign them if they think they can make money off them, they will not be fronting them any upfront expenses..

its this kind of crap advice thats confuses new models and points them in wrong directions..
