I recieved an email form someone tonight and i believe its a scam but i'd like to know if anyone else has recieved an email such as the one that follows.

Hello,

I just read your profile at ModelMayhem.com and I think that you have a very marketable look. One that is in demand in Hollywood. You should try for a career on the big screen, I'm sure that you would be a major success. Good luck in your career.

This email came from a person claiming to be from a highly known film studio. name unavailable.

Would like as much info as possible. Thank you.

I'm not sure how it could be a scam, when as far as I can tell nothing is being offered or solicited.  Seems like it's just a compliment.  Also, please refer to the FAQ section of this website:

"[7] Do not post PERSONAL INFORMATION (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, images) or any other information considered private without the express permission of the individual. You must respect the privacy of other members."

Might do well to edit out the email address.

Good luck!

ok, first of all, the real tristarpictures would not have an aol email address,
they would have tristarpictures.com, which, when I decided to check, was a link to a very simple page with links to free porn.  So basically someone is squatting on the site name hoping the real tri star will pay them for it

by the way, I think she should post it cuz it's obviously a crap site trolling for women

Thank you to all who have replied. Its unfortunate how people can sleep at night after they raise the hopes of someone. it was flattering but to actually think that a very repritable company such as they, would actually contact a girl such as myself, is a bit hard to believe. and sad. sad

Sounds a little weird to me...it doesn't hurt to call him and ask him what he's up to, you can tell a lot in a phone call. Have some questions to ask him ( and that you can verify on your own ). Most people in power postions that can actually help a career aren't cruising modeling sites....as you know, there's no shortage of talent out there.

Check things like, is his e-mail a yahoo or hotmail address?

Keep us posted...

This guy has been floating around for a while.  FYI, Tristar is now part of Sony, it is Sony-Tristar.  Any e-mail from TriStar would actually come from sonypictures.com.

He is like a fly on a horse, he keeps coming back again and again and again.  Tristar does not have an e-mail address at AOL.  End of story.

Ignore him.
