I'm curious as to how many models want to act?  Is acting the 'next step' or is modeling the pinnacle?  I suppose that for some modeling is the final goal and for others it is a gateway into acting.  What is it for you?

I want to model, I wouldn't mind acting but modeling has my heart.

I enjoy modeling, but I'm more interested in acting, performing.
However, I don't think I'd ever try making a full career of either.

Then again I sang long before I acted too.

I was an actress for years before I got into modelling.  I almost never do any anymore, because a photo session is so much less time consuming than theater, or even short film.  My work schedule doesn't allow for much...

I have a friend that's a struggling actor in LA. Every time she tells me what she goes through, I just think damn, I much prefer what I'm doing.

I wanted to act before I wanted to model. I'm not sure how good I am at either, but I have a heck of a lot of fun trying at both!

I prefer theater, though, myself. There's nothing like being up on stage in front of a bunch of strangers, and trying to remember your lines with the bright lights shining down on you! I love it!

i'm a horrid actress. The most I would do is maybe voice over work and short commercials. Nothing more

I am a member of Equity (British Actors' Equity Association). I have done a few small roles in films and adverts, but my main activity is on stage, where I have done many hundreds of presentations of Japanese culture, either as part of a story or as a stand-alone demonstration.

I enjoy both. I'd love to get into doing voice over work in particular.

im an actor, but if you really want to be successfull as an actor, you need to be able to model. you have to understand that whole world. you have to know how to have your picture taken, how to photograph well. it's really hard, and most people don't take the time to really learn. to me this is just a means to an end... but in the end isn't everything.

I don't. At least, I want to stick to doing stills (no film, tv or theater). But I don't think I qualify as "most models."

I did not intend to sound as if I do not think that modeling isn't acting.  It is.  You have to portray a mood or emotion in a photograph and you can't do that without putting something out there.  I was just curious to know what most models are interested in.

I was actually pointed in the way of acting since I'm on the larger side of plus modeling.  Size 18/20's get very little work if any, therefore I was suggested commercial modeling or acting.
