I've noticed in some of my artistic photos that bras have destroyed my yield.

Great look in the face - blow photo up to 12 Mpix, oops, bra caught in a dark shadow with a gradiant - hard to PS out and huge waste of time. I know some photogs can spot a gnat at 1000 yards in a viewfinder, but not me.

So, as a model, what do you consider to be most acceptable? Breast cover, breast tape, strapless bra, nothing at all, full bra (ok, you can count that), or yet something else?

I always like nothing at all or maybe the bras with clear straps..... Also Pastetease and bandaides work great....

yeah, this has been discussed before.  and most of the opinions, including mine, if it's not specifically a lingerie, swimsuit, or light summer clothing, leave the bras off.

breast petals are a good backup though, i can appreciate bandaids and what not, but if they're not the same skin tone, leave'em out as well.

I do the clear strap thing.  Too big (and non-fake) to go braless.

I agree the best is nothing at all if the bust isn't too large. But there are also reasons for not going completely braless, thus the alternatives. I'm also interested in what the models prefer and what the alternatives are.

Up until now, I didn't even know there was a clear strap.

I have many different bras so that they hopefully done show. I often wear a strapless bra. I'm allergic to adhesives so the thought of applying tape or bandaids is really unappealing. No photopgraphers has complained yet about a bra being in the way.

I would LOVE to have a bra that looked like that.

I find the clear strap thing not to be so clear and champion a quality strapless bra instead.

Anyone else having deja vu?

I'm starting to think maybe I should start carrying around them stick-on things...

Though if the girls got a nice shape I definitely prefer the natural look most of the time (of course it depends on what we're shooting).

maybe cause i work in lingerie, I know better.  there are many different bras.  tons of different fabrics, cups and things of that nature that can prevent this from happening.  if a model or any woman in general needs help finding a bra to wear under certain fabric, you should probably seek out an expert!  other than that, if your small enough to go braless, go for it.  on the other hand, those of us with natural D's and even C's, we need support.  Even someone at Victoria's Secret could be a great help.  There are many stores that one can visit, its all about taking the time to seek out these things

I personally choose none for shoots... the clear straps always show, plus there is less to have to worry about (if straps are showing, marking up the skin, etc)... strapless bras sometimes give the funky shape... I am very happy with being much smaller up top, and almost prefer not to even wear one on a daily basis, so much more comfortable. smile That is just my input....

I'm all for this, as long as they are hand cast individually. And by the way, can I volunteer to be the hand model?

theda, this kind of thing could be easily duplicated. you just need to find a sculptor in your area who can do lifecasting, and then auction the position of castee on ebay. i'm sure there would be plenty of bidders. i mean, the job for the castee would involve holding your breasts until the casting media dried... i'd use plaster, and it would take probably 15 minutes... but you'd want to have the castee hold your boobs for extra time, just to be sure the plaster is FULLY dry.

I probably only wear a bra four or five times a year. On those occasions, it is used to create the impression of a larger bust and deeper cleavage for a particular evening dress.

When I wear a kimono, the layers of folded and tied material, as well as the obi wrapped around me, act as a support and body shaper. Of course, the desired shape with a kimono is to even out the natural bumps and curves

if she's perky, then she can go braless. I am a large breasted girl and I still do it cause I "have it like that" right now.Lol. But I recently discovered surgical tape. It's not as painful on the skin, and it makes these triple d's  look like they came from a package.

Those stick-on things don't work so well for women with larger, less firm breasts.  You still need to be fairly small and perky.

I've been interested in the idea of taping, but am not sure what the best type to use is (unless it's just thick bandage tape).  If I have to wear a too-small bellydancing outfit next weekend, I'll find out. :p

It can take up to an hour to be dressed professionally for a special occasion - there is a lot of folding and tying. However, because I wear the kimono so often, I am able to dress myself in just over ten minutes. I have a collection of over 100 kimono and select the one to wear based on the season, the level of formality, my aesthetic judgement and mood.
