LMAO... that is a good one!

I think that "pro"-model doesn't know what TFP means...

Now, I am wondering... what her terms and conditions are for PAID work...

Geez...

Actually, I don't have a problem with her page. The only thing that I didn't agree with to much was the TFP charge of $50 if she rejects the assignment after arrival.

"Any locations, props, or wardrobes to be used in the shoot will be supplied by the photographer/ studio. if this is not possible, an allowance may be paid to me in order to acquire such items."

If this is a TFP shoot, and you (the photographer) have a vision as to how it is supposed to go, yes I would hope you would have your props in order.

I have to admit, reading that was a total turn-off.

Well... you've got a point... I guess that I probably should shuddup, because I don't do "Time For Poop".

I don't contact girls for shoots, except in very rare cases where I know the model from fashionshows mostly, or she is someone that interests me, which is very rare.

Usually I am being contacted and asked to shoot the girls for free..., as if they didn't read my own MM profile!

But, my take on it is that if you are doing a TFP, the photographer has at least as much work to put in. This girl must be superhot.

Anyway, to each it's own.

I really should stay out of this kind of discussions and stop while I am sorta ahead of it.

"Uh... my model doesn't like to shoot in studios with windows facing the east... so we decline to shoot.  but we will be needing that $50 tfp fee, and we have another shoot to be at in 10 minutes so can you make it snappy?"

get the f*ck outta here.  that tfp criteria she is talkin about is MAJOR BULLSH*T!!!

The 5 pictures in her rinky-dink bronze level portfolio are not... inspiring. I don't see anyone knocking their drink over to get up with her or Mr. Worth.

ClevelandSlim some of those requests are, I think, a little out (as seems to be the general consensus) but each person sets their own. As a model TFP/CD terms I’ve heard from photographers:
·    provide a MUA, hair stylist, fashion stylist… at model's expense
·    provide wardrobe ….and sometimes photographer expects to keep the wardrobe... again at model's expense
·    work for images never received or received outside a useable time frame
·    pay a deposit, processing fee, printing fee, CD burning fee, emailing fee, hosting fee…
·    you get 1 (or 2 or 4 or 20) photos but you have to buy any more and you don’t get rights and you pay extra for photo finishing
·    I can publish, sell, distribute… and you don’t get a dime nor will you know what I did with your image
·    All of the images you get from TFP/CD will have big fat watermarks and signatures on them, so when you show them to an agency, they’ll just laugh their ass off and show you the door
·    You have to post my name every time you show our photo but I won’t post your name
·    My neighbor / wife / girlfriend / 4 large standard poodles must be on the set…
·    You can have a chaperone but they have to stay in the car while I bring you into my basement studio
·    nudity is always required – but I like to save that detail for when you show
·    12 hours TFP/CD, what how long did you think it’d take?
·    The rights are such that you can’t do anything with the photos but look at them alone in a cave
·    TFP/CD in no way benefits the MUA or stylist portfolios. They don’t get images. Or they don’t get images showing their work
·    I want you to travel to me and you get to pay for it!
And they continue…

This whole sequence of demands from both models and photographers is definately interesting... 4 standard poodles HAD to be on the set?  Now that's funny... makes my landscape work very, very appealing.

That is nuts... Not looking for that model in cincy... Cleveland Slim you could have gotten ride of the last 7 digets lol, not that i know slug... I just know i wouldn't want to get calls about this... At least she doesn't want paid and the negitives. I've had models i've talked to (on that site, not trashing the site) who asked for the negitives and all of the prints. Why make prints if she has the negitives?

oh and not all of us set up tfps to um, work out an idea we have. I think if you've got an Idea and it's totally our shoot etc. Hire a model, get the shot done right and not a tfp portfolio print. just had to add that.

(who wants to shoot tfp with her?)

Saw her portfolio go up on OMP a few days ago and had myself a lil' chuckle. I mean, honestly, I wouldn't want to work with her solely based on she couldn't offer my book anything. The "TFP/pay" just made for a good laugh. I looked at it and said, "NEXT."

Don't think it's a good idea to be mocking other people's ports though. I mean, there are plenty of folks here that have portfolios that no where near justify the demands on their pages. Kind of reminds me of people who like to gawk at the scene of car wrecks. What's the point?

I guess it would have made more sense to skewer this portfolio if she were in the "room." I don't know who put her up to thinking that money is exchanged for a TFP shoot, that if someone is paying her she has any rights to make demands about the image rights, and that her current images justify the demands she's making.

Hopefully she'll get the message somewhere down the line and adjust.

okay, so before I went to her omp page, i was thinking "wow, this girl must be gorgeous, have some great images in her portfolio or something that would make this statements somewhat understandable."

Yeah, I was wrong.  How dare she make such demands.  Good luck to her finding a photographer that will meet her criteria. Looks like she's just starting out, take whatever reasonable not with a psycho work you can get honey!

Damn! If photographers actually pay models like this, just to shoot them...then where the hell am I going wrong??, lol. Has this model been on the cover of freakin Cosmo or something? She will learn, hopefully from experience, (if she gets any with monetary demands like this). She isn't the only model who charges outrageous amounts to shoot though, I see many of them everyday and just chuckle to myself.

I saw a new model pop up on OMP right before i left to come here and she had I think it was $100 or $150 for non-nude. Her top price for nude was $300 and it was all with a minimum of 4 hour shoot. Thats $1200 for a nude shoot with someone who did not have that "Perfect" type model figure, in fact she was on the other spectrum somewhere. An amateur too.

Slim, I don't think her terms are all that unreasonable although she seems to be confusing TFP with paid shoots.  I'd just skip it.  They can ask for whatever they want.  Folks will either pay or not.

TFP confusion aside, don't you think it's unreasonable to ask to be paid AND have the image rights she demands?

You're right about the rest though: marketplace forces will come to bear.

Did you take those from my profile?

Posted by Sara Green:
·    provide a MUA, hair stylist, fashion stylist… at model's expense

Well, seems right to me. If they want one, they pay for it, If I want one, I will pay for it. But in general, I do not need one, since I usually add details to the faces myself.

·    provide wardrobe ….and sometimes photographer expects to keep the wardrobe... again at model's expense

I provide wardrobe if you can fit into an xlarge shirt or a size 38 pants... Otherwise, I will tell you what I want, If you have it great, If not, then no worries, I will create it digitally. :-)
And no, I don't want a size 2 dress for my wardrobe... I have enough sleeves (which is about the only place a size 2 would fit on my body.)

·    I can publish, sell, distribute… and you don’t get a dime nor will you know what I did with your image

Ok. I give joint rights.... but I can sell distribute etc....

·    My neighbor / wife / girlfriend / 4 large standard poodles must be on the set…

I like my wife in the house, although that is becoming near impossible because I can not adequately explain to my 11 year old son why I have nude women in my house....

·    You can have a chaperone but they have to stay in the car while I bring you into my basement studio

Ok, I let them stay in the Kitchen sometimes, but only if the dog needs to be entertained.
Why do they need to be on the set?
If I try to rape a girl, and she screams, I will have him and 5 neighbors at my house before I can get anywhere.....

·    nudity is always required – but I like to save that detail for when you show

Ok, I tell them straight up in my profile....
If they can not read it, and it comes as a surprise, well......

:-)

ok, Having fun here.

since I do not need a model in Make-up, if they want an MUA, they pay, If I want one, I will pay.... seems fair to me....
