What are your favorite types of makeup to use for photoshoots?  What are the worst ones? (ie the ones that make you look like a clown or even look green!)
What about eye shadows?  I hear that many MUA's are boycotting MAC and I always loved their shadows and pigments.  What brands have you guys turned to instead?

Different brands are good for different things.  Are you looking for something in particular, or what brands do muas like for different things?  That could be a long list.

what makeup should we stay away from?  i know that some foundations make the model look green under the lighting but I can't remember the brand.

My favorite makeup for photoshoots is Joe Blasco, it reflects light very beautifullly. I've used others but not with the same results. Smashbox makes the best makeup primer.
