Talking about stupid ideas - check out work of an artist by the name of Maurizio Cattelan. One of his more controversial installation is a wax figure of a pope struck by a meteor made to look like a wax figure was just struck by a meteor that crashed through the window of the gallery (with glass all over the floor). I think he was the one that hanged a real live art critic on the wall (with duct tape) for one of his shows. He also had a Picasso mascot (with a big head and hands like Mickey Mouse) greet people at the gallery door. He had a life-sized plastic elephant dressed in KKK robes, a squirrel suicide installation and many other fun things. Can’t find any pictures of his work on the net.

I get some idiot that emails me about every three months wanting me to shoot him throwing pies in peoples faces, like on some kind of prank show.

But the thing that takes the cake..........Models wrapped in yellow caution tape.  First three times it was cool, the last 30,000 its outdated.

Pies in Peoples faces could be fun, and profitable. Think "Clown Porn". Want him to stop emailing you about it? Tell him he needs to find 5 females willing to take the pie to the face, dressed in clown makeup, but otherwise nude. If only in finding people, you may just stop getting emails for a good long time to come.

I would say the strangest (is that a word?) idea I have come up with is the casting call I have in my bio. I'm getting mixed reactions ranging from "That looks gross" to "I'm a vegetarian. I'm gonna go puke now." to "I don't get it, but I'll do it." to "Sounds like fun"

I got offered a shoot in a process of which I would have had my hair cut off. Needless to say, I declined.

I am fairly new to shooting models, but can someone please explain why that is suppose to be such a hot ideal in the first place?
Sorry but to me that is one of the dumbest and lamest ideals of ever...

New eh?  Ever try the "model wearing a gas mask" shot?  'Cause I know where you can get some masks...

Alright, time for me to fess up!

I shot the owner of a cat toy/catnip company..naked under 40lbs of catnip! Yes, ala Americcan Beauty. Seemed like a good idea at the time.. but man did it smell and it would up just looking like she was in a bathtub of pot or oregano! Although it was executed fine, she never used the shot and it's certainly not going in my portfolio!. I'm so embarassed..tee-hee ;-P

I bet the neighborhood cats loved her though....

I have a shoot this week for adult designer diapers. I had to laugh when the agency approached me with the idea, I thought they were kidding. The client even went through a modeling agency to get the talent.

An idea I have is a role-reversal shoots in which models with cameras in Auto or Program mode shoot photographers as models.

But who is to say what is stupid or not.  We all have ideas.  True some have been shot to death but not by us.  So what is stupid to one is not stupid to another.
