If you're shorter than the model you're less apt to be mistaken for her boyfriend.

Oh, she's tall, thin, attractive and scantily clad...
and he's ugly, short, and has a camera.

Long live the stereotype!

Hahaha, glad I fit in that profile.

But seriously I'm always shorter then my models since I mostly shoot fashion (if they are my length they are too short, lol) and haven't found any problem in that at all.
Best fashionshots are from a lower angle anyway in my opinion so thats real easy for me, and even then I'm kneeling down all the time.
If a model has a problem with a photographer being shorter then its definitely time for a good mental checkup because size doesn't mather, quality does, lol

hahaha very very true lol

I am inclined to say step on a chair but in your case you would not be able to do that and as you are in a wheelchair..so have you not got ramps and stuff in the studio.?

5' 5" Tall / 158#

I usually have a few apple boxes with me to stand on if I need to. But, I have found that being my high has greater advantages in the studio because my lens is at a more mid height for fashion and glam.

I have a few shots of me with the 6' Runway models on the NYC fashion week. Six of them and one of me in the middle. It was funny.

To all those whose suggestions involve step ladders, boxes, stairs, or some other type of aid to stand on may I suggest reading my original post. I'm in a wheelchair, therefore, stepping anywhere is not an option.

I think it's just because I'm lazy.

I bought Monica Lewinsky's knee pads; come in quite handy!

Stop shaking your fist at me, you're creating motion blur in the shot tripod!!

By definition, a tripod has three legs. *insert your own punchline here*

I'm 6'2", height wasn't a problem until a 5'11" model showed up on 4" heels.

if a model worries about the photographer's height-she is not professional and serious about the shoot-photographer's height makes no difference if he or she is using professional lens and cameras not point and shoot cameras(equipments used by GWC)/be serious.
