I'm trying to get hired for gig's. May 12 06 01:09 pm Link It all comes down to chance meetings with the right people... I'm not touting the old cliche, I'm serious. May 12 06 01:32 pm Link Any CHANCE, you need help? May 12 06 01:53 pm Link What kind of gigs? May 12 06 01:58 pm Link Well I looked at your book and profile. I am not too sure what jobs you want to get. I kind of feel in this day and age you need to specialize in one genre to get a foot in the door. So, pick an area, shoot a book for it ( you only need a dozen good shots. One great way is to blatently copy pictures in magazines and ad's) then make appointments to see the people who hand out those jobs. Tell them up front that you are starting out and would love some help and advice. Take the advice onboard, and shoot more for your book. Repeat exersize. It might take 6 months, it might take 10 years. AND like some one said here before, a LOT depends on who you meet and when. You are in NY, the world capital of photography. Thats handy! Best of luck May 12 06 03:08 pm Link Headshots, portraits, family, anything really. Im in need of work.
