My definition of porn:
It's EROTICA if I Jerk off to it.
It's PORN if YOU Jerk off to it.
It's OBSCENE if I want to PUKE at the thought of YOU jerking off to it.

And that, people, is the "dose of reality for today" brought to you courtesy of,

It's a $4.5 billion dollar industry in the US alone (and those figures dont include web trade, too much to calculate)

Somebodys got to be looking at it!

Yes! I'm guilty on occasion! But only when I'm at teh dentists office and theres a Playboy sitting around the waiting room!  smile

My favorite porno BS factoid is that if you look at the DOJ's own rape statistics, the rate of rape in the population has been going down sharply since the mid 1990s -- around the time that internet porn became widely available.

well I'd have thought that SINCE GIRLS WERE USUALLY TOO ASHAMED TO REPORT THIS.  THE FIGURES THAT SAY THIS WOULD BE TOTALY UNRELIABLE

also while SOME porn when it got started, allowed release of stress and imaginative fantasy etc etc
people had a great a way to know there were other fetishists or transgendered etc like them selves - and all of that

it also used to be more exciting, & hidden a bit, ya know?
more intense

the ''pornorization'' of much of society  NOW make us as we grow up think

a  that we all need to get into that ro the expense of all else

b thats ist normal and expected etc etc to be - whatever the media puts out 2 us - sexually

c that it (sex, flaunting, intimacy, using / hurting / connecting with others) means very little

decide your own 'goods' and 'bads' if you must be both simplistic and judgemental!! I suggest ''what porn means to me'' as a more interesting  and meaningful title...

beautifully said......i would like to add though its is a debate.
so this may give severals points of view going into doing his report versus just his own opinion.
