Now, she's the one who lives in BFE. Shouldn't she be the one forking out the dough? I can understand models that live in larger cities demanding travel compensation. But if you live in BFE and you want to model, you should be willing to pay your own accomodations.

Actually, it's Yankton, South Dakota. Not sure where the mix up is, but if that person is claiming that town is in ND, they are misrepresenting. I use to live in SD (not much going on there) and know exactly where Yankton is. Maybe that person has been watching too much of Americ'as Next Top Model and thinks they can command travel compensation. Dilusional!!!

And the other side is free to negotiate,  say no or pay up.
