I've got two questions...1.What are reasonable photographer rates? 2. What are reasonable model rates? I've seen $1,200 for 4 hours and $200 for 6 hours from photographers who have equal quality work. What's up with that? oh yeah, one more question, what size should portfolio prints be? 9x11?

Rates are determined by market, photographer, subject, usage, etc., etc.

There's no one answer to this question.  Too many variables.

"reasonable" == what you are willing to pay. This could be $ for one person and $$$$$ for another.

If you have specifics of a particular job, then folks could chime in with historical data. But as brian points out this will vary by market.
