I am a newbie, so here is my beginner's question.  How do I post an Avatar on my page?  Must it be one in my gallery of images?  Even more basic, what does Avatar stand for or mean?  Thanks.

Your avatar is the image that one sees in the forums, when you make announcements, when you post in the Shout Box, and when they initially look at your profile.  It's a thumbnail image of one of your portfolio images.  You can change it as often or as seldom as you like.

To choose one, go into My Stuff, select "Manage Photos", pick the image you wish to use as your avatar, and click the button to the right of it that reads, "Set as Avatar".  It will set that photo as your avatar.
