Looking for '40's-50's style clothing (NYC)
Hi I am in need of some vintage pinup clothes for a photoshoot. Would anyone know of a shop in NYC where I could pick some inexpensively! Thank you! I appreciate all your help! Apr 12 06 06:40 pm Link Do a google search. I was in NYC last August and wanted to find some vintage clothing for models. There were several big stores that came up in Manhattan, but I can't remember the names. We were so busy that we never got the chance to find any of those places. Seems like one was Cheap Joe's or something like that. I can't wait to see the results of whoever gets you in front of a camera all dolled up in those clothes. Better yet, come down to the gulf coast and I will shoot you myself. Perry Apr 12 06 06:49 pm Link I was there a few weeks ago and had a chance to go to a few stores with vintage stuff. Screaming Mimi's is a good spot - I think it's on Lafayette, but I can't tell you the side street. 99X which is on a side street off Bowry.
