I'm a college student so I'm on that facebook.com website. On that site I have a photo-album with a few of my modeling pictures in it, because I am proud of my pictures. None of them are frontal nude but a few are implied, but nothing showing. On a site like that you can't have that. Now one person I knew from high school write this to me:"just wondering? how tall are you? cuz if you're not almost 6 ft, isn't all of this taking your clothes off kind of pointless? I wish u the best of luck girl, but um, isn't what you are doing kind of degrading?"

Anyone have a response to this? I'm kinda pi$$ed about it actually.

Tell him - Maybe...but you still you try to get girls with the package you're sporting...you should understand impossible dreams.

Well, I've got two questions for you then....

Is the email from a guy you turned down?  Or a girl that you ended up taking thier boyfriend from them?

Either way, let it slide.  Don't worry about it anymore, because it just isn't worth it.  Do what YOU wish to do in life (and so long as it's legal) make yourself happy in the progress.

I looked at your portfolio... The only type of person that could consider what you've done to be degrading, is an overly religious, conservative, who isn't comfortable with thier own body.  Your suggestive shots, and the one topless shot that you have, were all tastefully done. I think you have potential in modeling.  Just ignore the person who emailed you that.  It would be nice to see a few more smiles though.  Most of your pics look so serious.... Just my two cents...

Taking you clothes off is never pointless, but I totally missed the height part.  How does it have a point if you ARE 6' tall?  As a general rule, best to ignore people who make no sense.  Like the people on the subway who rant to themselves.  Oh, wait, they are talking on cellphones.

Oh my gosh, you have a breast showing in your profile.  That is so degrading that I will give you some work if you want.  Feel free to e-mail me and we can talk about booking.

The only thing that really matters in this industry is what the industry thinks, not the rest of the world.  There are those that would be offended by a bikini shot of Claudia Schiffer.

Nothing you are doing even remotely ripples of inappropriate or excessive.  If you like modeling, brush it off and then send me the e-mail.  I think you have a great look.

Ignore him/her and get used to people putting you down. You have to develop a thick skin.Even the top models around, and photographers, have people who say negative things to them.
You are a beauty and to me you have a body and looks made for the creation of beautiful art and many other types of work.So what if you are not a 6 foot tall stick.

I have my portfolio full of proud nude women. You should be proud too. If there's anyone trying to turn you down, know that's it's because they are envious. You are a beautiful woman - be proud. Remember, it's not half empty...

Well I'm only 5'2", so you mean to tell me I have to grow 10 more inches before I can start taking my clothes off?!  Aw, man, and I was just about to do a nude shoot of Denzel Washington licking whipped cream off of me...oh well.  sad  LOL.

But seriously, I was thinking the same thing...What the hell does height have to do with it???  I bet that if you were a GUY, she wouldn't even be making a big deal about it and calling it degrading.  In fact, she'd probably try to right-click on the image and save it to her computer...lol.  Some people just don't appreciate artistic/implied nude work...they react to it as though it's an XXX film or something.

My family would probably have a heart attack if they saw my artistic nude pic with the pink towel...or the artistic nude bathtub pic.  I guess they figure that sweet lil' Tikeya is supposed to do all her photos wearing a t-shirt and jeans...lol.

I would ask him/her just what exactly makes him an expert in the modeling industry, especially because there are absolutely NO agencies out there that require a female model to be 6 feet tall in order to represent her.

Facebook?? I'm on that site-and I've seen far more tasteless things there than exist in your portfolio...ex, girl straddling inflatable palm tree, holding up "toys"...(and I suspect this is why the high school facebook members can only see profiles/albums of immediate friend links.)

You answered your own question.

That's highschool drama.

You still in highschool?

No. You're in college.

Let the drama go. You're past that now ... if you wish to be. Or you can continue to let it push your buttons and follow you into college life and your adult years.

The choice is yours.

I personally can't imagine anything more degrading than being on facebook.com.  The very web address screams "shallow meetmarket"...And it takes a lot to make a pornographer call something "degrading."

I'm on facebook and most of the people on there who have seen my albums who I went to high school with are just jealous. In high school I was super skinny and nobody paid attention to me.

Then they see pics of me modeling and its like whoa. You're probably going through that too. That b*** is just hatin!  smile

Why do you care?  If you're not ashamed of what you do, if you're happy with yourself, why do you care about some pissante opinion?

Jealous/ignorant people will do anything to try to bring you down.  The best thing to do is to ignore them......all they really want is the satisfaction of making you feel as bad about yourself as they feel about themselves.  Brush it off, your work is beautiful!
