WTF are you thinking?!?
when under experience you see NO EXPERIENCE isnt that enough to assume that a good chunk of the portfolio would be self-taken images, crappy or not? What is annoying thought is a stream of models with HORRIBLE web cam pics saying they have AGES of experience and they just "fired" their photographer bUt GOTTZ whAT iT TAKEzzZ 2 MAAKKKEE it B$$$$$G !? You guys know the kind, the kind that make it hard for those who are just starting out to be taken seriously Jun 30 05 10:25 pm Link Right on Melvin! Jun 30 05 10:43 pm Link Posted by paleosam: Posted by Peter Dattolo: I totally agree with this. Webcam photos are an insult to those of us who work hard to put together our photoshoots. It speaks poorly on those who have these "photos". Actually though I am sometimes amused to see what I might consider bad pix given oodles of praise, I actually tend to think of webcam and camera phone pix as sort of modern variants of pinhole, dianas, etc. Look I still shoot with film, goofy polaroid (Tasmanian devil camera), oatmeal box pinholes, etc etc. I never have a problem with what medium is being used to communicate as long as it works. And of course, the conclusion of whether it "works" or not is entirely subjective. It's art after all. Jun 30 05 10:58 pm Link Posted by Leila: Funny ain't it? If you were a guy, you'd know immediately what that's all about and ignore it. Still, funny you should mention it. Jun 30 05 11:01 pm Link Well, then isn't it better when I DON'T call myself a photog but a chick with a camera???? I thought so...I dont put comments on crappy pictures...and people dont comment on my pics because they are crappy Jun 30 05 11:04 pm Link Leila: Great Work ;-) Jun 30 05 11:12 pm Link Posted by Pitaru: Crappy is in the Eye of the Beholder!!
