I totally agree with this.  Webcam photos are an insult to those of us who work hard to put together our photoshoots.  It speaks poorly on those who have these "photos".

Actually though I am sometimes amused to see what I might consider bad pix given oodles of praise, I actually tend to think of webcam and camera phone pix as sort of modern variants of pinhole, dianas, etc.  Look I still shoot with film, goofy polaroid (Tasmanian devil camera), oatmeal box pinholes,etc etc.    I never have a problem with what medium is being used to communicate as long as it works.  And of course, the conclusion of whether it "works" or not is entirely subjective.  It's art after all.

The part I notice is when a poorly executed shot with a babe model gets lots of comments like, GREat shot.   Well, okay, maybe all the photographers really think the observable backdrop cutoff is great, or dogs tail in the shot is not a problem but I don't see these same kind of shots getting the same sort of praise when the model is a guy or perhaps a female without the genetic assets of the babe.   

If a model intrigues me but her work doesn't, I tell her, I am intrigued by your look, or you have a sexy look, or whatever it is that makes me stop and look.

How come when I look at some models profiles that have poor quality photos that look like amature porn, I see decent photographers who leave comments like "great work"? I'm no professional but I know sh*t when I see it.  I'm tempted to give examples but I'm sure this post in and of itself is going to offend enough people.  I am the only one who notices this? 

Funny ain't it? If you were a guy, you'd know immediately what that's all about and ignore it. Still, funny you should mention it.
