Its all very subjective.Jerry Avenaim for example is a major celebrity shooter # 6492 but then again so am I. He shoots much more editorial while I prefer candid celebrity portraiture. We are both listed in the library of photography.I believe his rates and name recognition is higher than mine,but I have shot far more major celebrity clients while being located in a smaller market,Chicago that he left.He glams up his celebrity clientel while I prefer to strip mine down,beyond the glitter...Even if photographers are based on the caliber of their famous clients which they often are,being hot is as subjective as their individual style and their noted specialization.
