Deitch Projects is hosting a show called 'The Garden Party'.  Among the performances and such, they've build a giant grass hill within the space and they're encouraging people to roll down it.

There will probably be lots of art stars and general celebrities in attendance.  Photographer Vanessa Beecroft is showing some new work...I'm guessing that the infamous Terry Richarson will be there...Yoko Ono is showing some work...the Citizen's Band is performing.  All prime people with which to pitch your wares...or simply to enjoy.

Bullshit hobnobbing aside, the place should be a zoo.  Feel free to say hello.

Here's the info:

Here's the briefer info.  18 Wooster between Grand and Canal in Soho.  6-9pm.  Free fucking booze.

PS...free booze!

My lady doing her best 'hair whip' + 'hair whip w/ a side of jungle cat' in preparation for this evening.

If you are inviting people to a party then posting here is fine.

If you are looking for models to shoot at this party then use the casting call section.

If you are doing both then separate the two requests.

Mhana moderator.

I may lock this or move it.

10-4.  I was inviting people to a party.  It's not a casting call.  It's a call for fun.

It should be!!

Always good people watching and liver-killing if absolutely nothing else.

I stopped by the space the other day and it was magical.

I miss science fiction.  Unemployment + 3 showings of ST:TNG a day on the orignal SpikeTV network made my first days in NY a hoot.  Worst part of the great black out?  I missed the end of TNG.  And the beginning of Springer sad

"Tivo, baby."

Besides, the thing is 6-9 and BSG has a late encore.

Guys guys...shall we cut to the chase, whip out our tribbles, and violate eachother's prime directives already?

I already have models who come over when we're not shooting just to watch my DS9, BSG, and B5 DVDs.

Free fucking booze.

Ok, saw Yoko Ono, but saw no free booze and no band, and got rather smushed tryng to get in the door. Loved the thing downstairs and the wish tree. The hill was cool as well but I didn't roll down because I was wearing nice pants.

I was mad about that too.  It seems they moved the drinks to the smaller space next door...and moved the performance to tonight.  And the crushing was no fun.  Sorry about that.
