what does your portfolio look it? (Hard copy)
I am in the process of putting together a hard copy portfolio to take with me to an agency meeting but i have one problem - i have no idea what a real hard copy portolio is supposed to look like because everything is digital now! So do i just get a binder and put some photos in there in those plastic sheet protectors or is there more to it? Do I include my stats in there some where? If so, where? Do i seperate the pictures according to theme? Obveiosuly, the internet has made things so easy that i am confused about how to do this hard copy port. Any answers/suggestions are welcomed! Thank you! ashley. Feb 16 06 01:06 am Link Feb 16 06 03:12 am Link Feb 16 06 03:56 am Link Uhh, yeah, what Dan said. Feb 16 06 04:46 am Link Order a book or buy a good one here in Atlanta we have a store called Sam Flax or try a Binders Art Store. Online www.HouseofPortfolios.com Make sure you have a decent quality looking book, they can run you anywhere between 50.00-150.00. Also make sure you book tells a story and have your best work in it, and you can include you tearsheets and stars in a section of it... Good luck....Remember, most agency's like to see very clean looking faces... Feb 16 06 10:39 am Link The thread that Dan pointed to is great. Read it twice. It helped me a lot. Also take a look at the thread that I started about getting prints made at https://modelmayhem.com/posts.php?thread_id=28454 As for books, I got an 11x14 Itoya Evolution for under $10 bucks. It has stitched edges and 24 sheets. Don't spend a lot of money on the book. Spend your money making sure your images are great. Feb 16 06 02:58 pm Link |
