After some of the recent threads about "GWCs" and "CWSs" and models being fondled by "photographers" I offer for your amusement a new term:

"Photogroper" (pronounced almost like "photographer") - Noun;
Appearing at first sight to be a photographer, the photogroper usually manifests by "accidentally" fondling models at the slightest excuse.

Yeah just like the groper that took light meter readings off my perky set and at my crotch....Dud had to buy a new light meter when I was done.

What are the letters?

GWDFB,  GWDH, or just GW

How about the creepy chainsaw carrying,  cubbord living,  boat photo loving weirdo photographers?

I would imagine there are MANY photogropers on this site.  Too bad they can't be exposed for who they really are so that legit photographers don't get lumped into that category.

I was think of a term more geared towards models who think they are primadonnas:

modelanna: (noun) A GWS who thinks they are god's gift to modeling and deserve $250+ hr for a photoshoot.

Okay, here's the tough one...

A model who puts "I don't do nudes, so don't ask" in her profile, which is full of nudes...

Sorry, but it's not a new term. It was used on models.com many years ago, I don't know if that's where it was invented or not but it was around at least 4 years ago or so.

I hope this is false.  I'm sure our models can advise newer models on things to alert you to possible less-than-professional situation.

Is this really an epidemic?  I never come anywhere near touching my models.  I make it a point to keep my distance and stay a safe distance.  I know some photographers don't necessarily do the same but WOW, this sounds like a lot don't.

Never cared for titles, most importance is getting others to come back to you for work and getting paid for something you enjoy doing. Don't let a label define the work for which you do, but embrace those that keep coming back to you for that creativity
