Vaseline is kind of heavy, but would do the trick.

try applying a very thin coat of baby oil....if that too shiny try tea tree oil or some other patroleum based prduct..the water will bead...but..it will also want to move..

You can also add some soap to your water, this will increase the natuarl occurring surface tension of the water and give it a stickier property..

Good luck..

Actually, try adding glycerin to the water and use a spray bottle to apply. Did this on a shoot and works perfectly. It is a sugar-water mixture, so be prepared to have a sticky model afterwards.

Water and baby oil in a pump spray bottle.  Shake, spray, shoot.

In a pinch, you can pull that bottle of AstroGlide out of your camera bag.
Second only to nature.

I know a photography that swears by KY and a spray bottle.  Says it works perfectly...

...for the beads of swear look, that is.

I use baby oil massaged into the skin, then a fine mist of warm water or water mixed with glycerine.

A make-up artisti taught us this trick...take a can of Olive Oil Sheen Spray avialable at most drugstores like walgreens...spray over desired area and a spray bottle of water will bead up instantly for the wet look and last all day only need to re-apply water as neccessary...

So do you have that in a spray bottle, or 55 gallon drum at the studio?
