First of all since I started back to shooting models in particular the ones here in my home town they seem to only want to shoot lingerie or nude photos.Don't get me wrong I have been doing a lot of that and frankly I am getting tired of just that.I am looking to broaden my portfolio and experiment with other forms such as commercial and print. The shoots that I have been doing I am using as practice for me and I want others to comment on my work but here I have noticed that I basically only get comment on nude stuff that I have done.Is that telling me that I shoot lingerie and nude better than anything else or what,or maybe since I want to do more print and commercial I should concentrate on doing photos that will be suitable for adult magazines.
I have noticed that some models here say they are looking for TFP/CD but when I am looking to shoot TFP/CD I can not find any one to shoot. I can understand them wanting to be paid for nude work which when I am looking to do that I normally do pay,I get paid alright when some one hires me to shoot nudes but I just do not want to be seen as that is the only thing that I do.
I am a merried man with grand children,my wife used to model and one of my daughters does now.I guess what I am really trying to find out is should I keep focusing on nude photography because it seems that all anyone is interested in.

Just one quick glance at your portfolio says it all.  A very large quantity of your photos were nudes or lingere style shoots.

I know that I, when looking for photograhers to harrass for a shoot (hehe!), look at portfolio first and foremost.  So of course, you're going to get who want to shoot nudes or lingere since that is what you're representing yourself with.  Change up your portfolio a little with a better mixture of shots and things may change.

follow your bliss and do what makes you happy.

sure the money is ok but are you happy with what you're doing? maybe what you need to do is to challenge yourself - the shoot is not only doing the stuff that your model wants but also get some of your shots for your portfolio as well, this could mean experimenting on the angles, lighting etc for a few of your shots, while going back to your basic shots that you do with other models.

too many photographers out there doing nude shots - not that there's anything wrong with that - but i think shooting nudity is too easy, unless you have a unique perspective on doing so that makes you different from other nude photographers out there. something to think about i guess as you look at your services overall

I get the same, because that's what I'm good at.  The models who seek me out, want that "look".

Do what you like, do what makes you happy.  Hopefully, they are the same.

If you aren't doing it for the money to live on, don't worry about what anyone else thinks.  Do what you like.  *THAT* is what it's about.

I would suggest you evaluate your sources for finding models.  Nudity is far more pertinent to 'net modeling than street level.  If nudity is important to you then the 'net is the place to find participants.  If it is not important, then work with models at the street level where commercial imaging is the first (and many cases only) objective.

I like that...'the street level'....is that the same as internet escorts vs. street level escorts?

Perhaps more clearly worded, "brick and mortar agency level."

I agree. Most models who look at your portfolio will assume all you want to shoot is nudes (or close to it). So if they want nudes, they'll respond. If they don't want nudes, they'll probably look for another photographer who shoots a style they are interested in, and skip right past your portfolio. They may also (rightly or wrongly) assume you are a perv, and be hesitant to work with you.

If you want to shoot fashion, you need a few more good fashion photos in your portfolio to show potential models that you are capable of shooting that style.
