on the line more so the models. as photographers we are expected to produce photos that are good no matter what i not saying that modeling is not a skill but if photos look bad us photographers take the blame not the person that is in them its like when your at a family gathering and ant marge hands you her 10000000 year old point and shoot with plastic lenses and a light leak and asks you to photo the family and seas "i payed 5$ for it" and because your a "photographer" then your expected to get better photos that any one else as photographers we really do not "need" models exepet for some types of photography (this is not a high and mity statement i like models there cool :->  )   like what i shoot a photographer can do other types of photography for example table top, land scape, autechre with that being sed we all shout respect each other and have fun i mean hay what other job model or photographer can we have this much fun and get $$$ besides sports

i would like to meat some people not to shoot porn but they seen like there more open to ideas and are not shy about getting nude

but i like to get back on track i never had any one look at one of my photos and say that the person did a bad job of "modeling"  they say "nathan what was your problem that day why did you take such bad photos so it falls to me as it should it is my readability to do good work

I shoot some adult actresses sometime smile
They are alot of fun to work with
(but make sure you bring a escort to the shoot with you wink
If they allow you to.

and in my experience they are very picky regarding what the finished images look like.

I guess it is the nature of the beast right?  But in reality, you're right.... a photographer can only do so much.  It really takes two to tango.

As for those porn stars.... I've met a few myself, though totally by chance.  Actually shot a (fully clothed) shoot with one.  Nice guy, we've remained good friends since the shoot.  HAHA!  What a topic......
