The forum rules say that "nipples and genitalia" need to be flagged as +18

Does this include pubic hair? ... or is pubic hair considered a cover?

This is in regard to artistic images I can embed in forum posts.

Thanks

I'd call it +18 and be safe.

Err on the side of caution...

I know I personally don't in other places, but the mods judgment is the key...of course you're not going to be banned just because of one mistake...so post whatever and if  the mods think it needs to be linked and flagged then you'll get  a message.

I'd say hair is hair! Some people have pubic hair that goes to their belly button! As long as it's not showing it directly on the genitalia? Am I right?

If you aren't sure about it, it's probably something that is 18+

Create a word link out of the photo with the note (18+) at the end...

Example:

I dunno, I think their needs to be more defined rules about it and all the MODS have to be of like mind on the issue or the rules are in vain.

For instance, there was a photo a member started a thread about that she shot of a model and it was flagged 18+ by  a MOD . It did not show pubic hair but it showed part of an area where pubic hair could have been had it not been shaven off. However, I saw a very nice positive MOD comment on someones portfolio once. It was on a photograph of a nude male with his hand over his crotch and but just enough so that the base of his penis was obviously showing and he had no pubic hair and the shot was not marked 18+.

It's hard enough getting two people to agree what to eat for dinner...much less getting half a dozen people to agree what >18 year olds should see....

It's flawed, but it works....mostly...

If you trim off all the pubic hair and then make a little pile with it in the middle of a white plate, it is OK to photograph that.

Yea. Just sayin, if one shot is 18+ for showing the area above the sex organs which would normally have hair if not shaven smooth, shouldn`t the other be, too? I thought it was funny to see a MOD make something 18+ while another gives positive feedback on a very similar shot on another profile.

First of all, I'd like to confess in all seriousness that I thought this said "public hair..."  yes, yes,  I'm the stupid one....
Second, if somehing is to be potentially viewed by an 11 year old child, it probably shouldn't have its pre-word be "pubic."
Third, as and adult... i like the pubic region having a little "shadow"; I'm getting old and I need something to guide me (landing strip??).

Be safe and mark it 18+!!!

Far too rare I think.

When I am doing artistic nudes, I would much rather the model have pubic hair. Especially if we are doing anything like gymnastic type poses.

If the vulva is showing it adds a sexual tone that is out of place in this style of shot.

Anyone have a PS technique for creating pubic hair?

You probably have to flag it as 18+ and should probably label it as vintage/retro.

Yep. I agree. I think some of this shaving has gotten a bit out of hand.

People are sooooo repressed.....

It's so funny, think of this logic, we can't show nipples which are nothing more than a raised amount of tissue under the skin.

The areola is nothng more than a darker area of the skin, a patch of skin if you will darker pigmented skin....

Pubic hair, oh my god....hair like you don't have any once you hit about 12 years old and you've never seen it.... no differant than other hair really, just grows more kinky usually....

The genitals....we all have them....in most cases you can't even see the lips of he woman just a small slit if she just stands there, bending over is more obvious of course, a penis....oh god the horrible penis...that threatens all humanity...we should all be affraid of the man's penis, lol.....

Why this big Shame factor of who shows what....unless they attack me first for showing some little thing then you go to someone else's site and they have this "errection" but it's not considered pornographic.....

It's very confusing...we all know what eachother looks like, to some degree of color, shape or size- but yeaha.... we are all human and have these bodily parts, why act like we don't ...or we are so offended if we see another person's parts-

On one hand, people are conservative but on the other they are liberal.....

So, if you photoshop out the nipples and genitalia making the model look like a naked barbie doll, does it still need to be flagged as 18+?  I mean, since many shooters now routinely erase any evidence of skin texture, deleting other offending details doesn't seem like that much further to go.

Note that stubble has also been a discussed topic, and images featuring pubic stubble have been required to be flagged 18+.

Also...despite my agreement with most posts arguing the inanity of these restrictions, do take into consideration that mods mentioning said guidelines are usually not voicing their opinions on the topic. They are informing you of the site guidelines...as kinda is their duty.

Should you wish to have these guidelines altered, I imagine you'd need to take it up with El Jefe, not the moderators.

Yeah, I had to ask a model (one I'd worked with prior) a month in advance to grow some in 'cause for one shot I wanted it just wouldn't look right bare.  She looked at me like I was mental and said "You WANT hair?  NO one wants it anymore."

it's seriously a novelty, and a welcome surprise when you see someone with it. not that i have anything against shaving, but seeing someone with natural growth is like "!!" anymore
