Shibari is great.  Just make certain that you get a competent rigger or otherwise your model will get hurt.

Very good point. I just don't know that many beginner riggers that jump right in doing shibari, do you? Not that it makes it 100% safe, just sounded kind of funny.

Try " The Seductive Art Of Japanese Bondage" by Midori
published by greenery press
The book is a pretty fair illustrated how-to, just practice, practice, practice.

I agree, get somebody who has experience, too easy to hurt somebody.

    Midoris website http://www.beautybound.com/
and the book is good also.

Definitely use someone who knows what they are doing. These are complicated rigs and even harder to get out of, if something goes wrong.

It's not even beginners you have to worry about sometimes.  There's people who are experienced who either a) just don't know what they're doing or b) are sloppy.  And when you're talking possible permanent nerve damage...

No offense but am I the only one who sees a lot of irony in this statement?

Midori's sites are all down right now, I heard something to do with voluntarily taking them down until she figures out how 2257 affects her.

if you looking for educational stuff.
www.bdsm-chicago.com  go to the CRAM Site. and go to tuts tons of good information on that site for bondage.

If you looking for just photos, go to the link page.

If you looking for a hands on educational event, check out www.shibaricon.com

There only 2 books out in english about bondage that a good, Erotic bondage handbook, and midori's book both from www.greenerypress.com

Unfortuntily they do no come close to some of the stuff i got out of japan.  But those books are hard to get.

Or shoot me a email and ask me any questions you have.

Your first post in the forums is a put-down? Not a good start.

Any volunteers?  My girlfriend will be there to make sure I behave.

Nobuyoshi Araki.  That is all I can say about the subject.  At least online ;-)

That's fine as long as you don't break the rules.

You can check this site out too for some great photography, not any references on how to do it. www.shibariartphotography.com very graphic, I'd recommend not opening at work at well :-)
