Anyone afraid to look at their mail?
I am always afraid to look at it cause if I am too tired to answer I look like a jerk. Anyone else have that problem? Star Jan 19 06 01:33 pm Link More than you could ever imagine Jan 19 06 01:35 pm Link yes. sometimes I wait. Jan 19 06 01:38 pm Link Absolutly! Sometimes I check it late at nite and respond in the morning. However the awful thing about that is I will get tons of emails in between and forget to resond to the original message i opened the night before. Usually nothing serious- mostly comments. Ugh! Id love to have an assistant do it for me. Jan 19 06 01:42 pm Link Always. I tend to open messages at work and can't respond immediately. Then after a few hours more messages pile in then the ones not yet responded to are moved to the bottom of the list. I wish we had folders for this very reason... Jan 19 06 01:46 pm Link I try to open and answer every time I log into MM- so they do not pile up- but then I also do customer support for allmodelzone so I am on top of requests Jan 19 06 01:49 pm Link Tyler wrote: YOu know I won't take offense. Jan 19 06 01:54 pm Link I know most people should be afraid to open their snail mail... Christmas bills have come a calling. Jan 19 06 02:02 pm Link If I am too tired to give an in depth answer I at least tell them I got it and will reply with a detailed answer after I get some rest. Jan 19 06 02:13 pm Link Star wrote: Are you referring to snail mail or email? (Specifically email on MM with the "read" indicator?). Jan 19 06 02:23 pm Link Star wrote: Usually its "Oh I got mail" unless its from a moderator which I usually say (unless its Dawn Elizabeth) "What the F*ck now" hehe Jan 19 06 02:35 pm Link Nah, actually I love to get mail. And the best way to not pay Christmas bills is to not get/give presents...lol. It works for my family. Jan 19 06 02:45 pm Link work is slow at my day job so I have all day practically right now to play on MM and respond to messages and leave comments and tag people's sites in which I admire their work!! good times good times!! Jan 19 06 03:56 pm Link No, I check it when ever I can and reply when ever I can. Jan 19 06 03:57 pm Link Tyler wrote: Is that why you're never responding to any of my demands? Damn you! Jan 19 06 03:57 pm Link very much so i just hate when theres so many i mix people up:( same thing with my hotmail box and myspace but for myspace mesaages i usually just trash them w/out reading 'em ;O) Jan 19 06 04:48 pm Link very much so i just hate when theres so many i mix people up:( same thing with my hotmail box and myspace but for myspace mesaages i usually just trash them w/out reading 'em ;O) Jan 19 06 04:48 pm Link i get letters from dead people. Jan 19 06 07:42 pm Link No. I try to respond as soon as I get it. And then I document it all on a notepad next to the computer, with names and dates of gigs. You have to be organized or shit will fall through the cracks. If I don't have time for a detailed response, I will jot a quick email, send it and promise to get back as soon as I can. This is also noted on aforementioned pad. No reason to add more stress by avoiding the in box. Jan 19 06 07:46 pm Link Yes. Some times I don't have time to reply but I know they will be able to see that I have read the message then they will be like "WTF? She read it and didn't reply!" Jan 19 06 08:31 pm Link i'm not reading this right now. Jan 19 06 08:42 pm Link Bruce Caines wrote: I can't believe I read this far Jan 19 06 08:45 pm Link If I send you a message and you dont reply right away, you know what I say? WTF!! You're such a mean evil person!! just kidding!! Really, I dont mind because I too will not reply if I'm feeling tired at the time or don't have time to write back. I think if we understand the majority of us are like this. then everyone will come to understand. Jan 19 06 08:49 pm Link My personal organizer has client pages you can buy... I've found them very useful. But still, yeah. I always feel bad when it's back and forth trying to schedule, waiting to see what work hours are going to look like or the weather or what have you. C'est la vie. Jan 19 06 09:21 pm Link mail? What's that? No, really, when I get mail, I try to respond the second I read it, so I don't forget all about it. I've honestly forgotten to reply to a couple of e-mails until a few days after I got them. Thankfully, they weren't offers for a shoot that had a deadline of that week! Jan 19 06 11:05 pm Link See...now I must be tired, because after posting that I realized I was using my photographer's profile! I guess it works either way, though... Jan 19 06 11:08 pm Link I don't care...it's not like they can see you. Jan 19 06 11:10 pm Link Not afraid, and I like that it tells you that anything you sent has been read...that way I know that they got it, aren't interested, and are too busy to reply!
