Sasstudio.com contacted me about working with them.  I've checked out there website and they claim to be the biggest agency in Orange County and Las Vegas, but I've never heard of them.  Its a nice site and all but, has anyone worked with them or heard good/bad things about them?

what kind of agency?

though as a rule, big agency's don't contact you, you contact them.

Then sit on tenterhooks till they write you back.

Then you contact them again.

Also, might I add your definition of "nice web site" is kind of loose.  Besides their theft of the "THX" intro sound (I don't see any copyright notice or permission of use notice anywhere), it is loud and annoying.

Also in New York (don't know about other places) It is illegal to combine the businesses of being a photographer/photo studio and modeling agent

There site is too flashy! And by that I mean I hate having to wait and watch "blah blah blah % loaded" lol so I didn't even check pretty much any of it out.

I guess the question in my mind is, are they talking green stuff?

Happy Ending

This afternoon my daughter was refunded her $200.00 by S.A.S. Studios. I am sincerely hoping this is the end to all of this. As I have repeatedly stated, previously, it was always my main concern that her money be refunded. S.A.S. has done this. I hereby retract my former accusations against S.A.S. Studios and Shawn Anthony regarding this point. Also, if it is at all within my power, I will attempt to remove this report from the online community. If this is not feasible, then I hope this statement rectifies this situation.

Sincerely,

That's VERY interesting... I read Shawn's reply,..and next thing you know,...what's her face's mother is suddenly signing a different tune..

That some people are very easily satisfied with cash.

Of course her rebuttal of her own statements is perfectly valid, but the situation happened none the less.  Her accusations were not without merit either, SAS is attempting to operate in a manner that is illegal in at least two of the states they are operating in (California I now see from some of the articles also has a specific law against operating as a Photographer/photo studio AND modeling agent).

So, are they a scam?  Maybe, maybe not, which is why I posted links only...you can be the judge for yourself.

What do I make of it?  People are very easily swayed with cash.

Unless they are asking for $$ or want exclusivity, their probably okay.

Just depends how much and what kind of work they'll get you.

Weird site.

Catchy.

Now I'm just wondering if a representative of the SAS, or one of their photographers would be willing to jump in here and defend the site/business practices of SAS
