Depends on how well trimmed the fur is, and how many different... patches of fur you can artfully arrange around the head without the extra legs getting in the way...

Boy, I want to take down my hooded shot.  And the shot of the girl with the guitar! what if it's a tear?  Then is it OK?  Hell it was the cover no less.  Can I keep it?

Was it not done first by David Bailey way back in 1964?

If I take down my fur-framed headshot, all that will leave is my angel wings and caution tape shots and it will look like I don't have enough versatility to be taken seriously.

Almost anything is a legitimate subject for photography. Fur coats, railroad tracks, stairwells, fire trucks, bikinis on beaches, war deaths, dying people smoking cigarettes, babes on cars, kids laughing in amusement parks, models walking down runways. Anything. Do something you like, and do it well, and don't worry about whether someone else calls it a cliche. You may just show it in a different light or be so evocative that it moves someone, after all.
