my gf wants to get into the fashion industry.  she really wants to be a fashion stylist, http://www.fashion-schools.org/fashion-stylist.htm .  do you have any advice that would help her break into this field.  shes very passionate about this and i want to help her as much as possible.  shes moving up to NYC after she finishes her AA in a couple months.  so any help would be great!

In addition to going to a fashion school, such as FIT, she could also contact some working stylists in the market where she will be located, and inquire about working or interning as a stylist assistant. The best way to learn is to get in and assist someone who's already doing it. ;-)

yeah i thought that would probably be one of the best things she could do in addition to school.
