Hi everybody,
does anybody know the place / company in New York where I can rent different kind of props?

there are literally thousands of them.

Are you working in a studio? If so, ask the studio booker...they usually know a few good ones or have a prop room themselves.

If not, contact the local photography supply stores (like Calumet) and ask their rental desk people

It would seem a logical first step would be to search the 'net using keywords, like say, NYC Prop Rental, for example.

Just a wild guess.

Not for New York ones...everything there is still done word of mouth.

You are quite lucky, in NYC there are probably almost as many as in LA. Now in Sacramento we don't get much choice...and think of all the poor folks trying to rent props in Idaho!

That would possibly get you "property rental", rather than props for a studio. Maybe try "studio props rental"...

Yeah... The go find it on the internet answers aren't always the most helpful...

The Set Shop www.setshop.com is my favorite... they have some interesting stuff

There was a place renting furniture around B and H somewhere... I wish I could remember the name... I think it was on 34th west of 8th 9th? I can't really remember :-(

yeah in NYC a lot is thru a word of mouth...
but for those are new to NYC
check out Black book Creative Industry directory  a lot of the stuff is there (it for US in general not only for NYC)
