I just had a converstation with a person claiming to be an agent for NY model management. After our conversation I contacted NY model management myself to find out if this guy is legit. Turns out there is no one by his/her name that works for them.

Some Indian or Pakistani guy found me on MM.  Kept bugging me about ASL and wanting to be my friend.

Her (or his - Sandy000569) comment of:  "we are free to contact models and muas through a system"  is freakin bullshit!  He snagged your AOL instant messager contact info from your MM front page and spammed ya, just like he's spammed so many others here.  This punk is just another 'webcam pervert' tryin to ripoff the masses.  My recommendation?... do NOT leave your AOL instant messenger contact info on your MM page, because in most cases it's designed for 'friends only', and its also your AOL e-mail address...

All you have to do is get the person's name and call the agency....it probably takes five minutes to do. Get the number from a phone book or off the agency site. The person could give a bogus number and most of the agencies have at the very least a phone number to call.

This is how I catch models lying about being repped by a certain agency. I call the agency and have somene check the name against their database. Most of the people at modeling/talent agencies are really helpful.

That is her in the thread I linked. Her name is Sandy and she used to be a member here.
With me, it was Q models. My Mom contacted them and said they had no one by that name. That very night...she posted this thread. I'm starting to wonder if she is like some psycho, wannabe model agent or if she just reels people in for some pervert.
Who knows. BIG RED FLAGS are usually right.

Oh and that is her AIM screen name. My Mom has her own convo saved from when she talked to her asking me to do a webcam. Yep. She asked my Mom if I could do a webcam interview with her...with my Mom in the room. Can you say WEIRD???
